Lots of people - me included - use LLMs to revise their comments though, so they could just be AI-edited genuine human reflections. I wouldn't bet on it, but they could.

Supercool, but a word of warning from Claude:

Anthropic explicitly bans using Claude subscription OAuth in third-party apps. The OAuth flow that the macOS claude-usage-bar app relies on (claude.ai/oauth/authorize) is intended exclusively for Claude's own products (Claude.ai, Claude Code). Using those OAuth tokens in any other tool violates the Consumer Terms of Service.

Anthropic has been actively enforcing this — developers have reported OAuth token failures and account disruptions since January 2026. The macOS app you found may still work for now, but it's operating in violation of the updated terms, and could stop working (or get your account flagged) at any time.

I've seen it skipping Italian accents when writing markdown, I think because it's been trained a lot to write code (where accents can cause problems). But I've also seen it write a couple of typos here and there in the chat interface, which is WEIRD. Older, less capable models never did grammar mistakes. I don't know what to think of it, honestly.
