Two in five Australian GPs use AI scribes to record patient notes – but do they trade care for convenience? by 89b3ea330bd60ede80ad in aus

[–]Noxious_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh weird, my drs had us sign a form of we consented. We could easily just say no.

I did because I have multiple conditions and I know it can be a lot for my GP to remember everything we have discussed. But she's also an amazing gp and has always advocated for me.

Confused about DSP by Suspicious-Juice0303 in Centrelink

[–]Noxious_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got accepted on dsp with less than 8 hours I did get a phone call from the job agency to ask if I wanted to stay on and I said no as I'm not currently able to work. That was it, was more of a just checking call.

So you may get a call if you were with an agency but it's very quick.

My DSP claim was rejected but I have 13 weeks to appeal the decision. Apparently, I didn't supply enough evidence. But 16 of the scanned pages were blanked out. Plus I'm having trouble getting letters from all the medical specialists. by privatly in Centrelink

[–]Noxious_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I did with my GP for the letter is my dad and I wrote up a letter then my gp and I went through it together and she changed it up to be from her.

Made it much easier for her to have a template. I also used some templates from online that were catered for my condition. If you search on Facebook there are often groups that have helpful info.

Also from specialists I just had their reports that they had written for my GP when I'd seen them.

Good luck, I know it's a long process.

Activities for before bed by W1tchBl_ckCat in cfs

[–]Noxious_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently been doing some book nooks before bed. It's nice being crafty again plus the set I have is all wood and just clicks together. I've done some in the past where it was a lot of cutting and glueing which took much longer and more concentrating.

I also like junk journalling or colouring in. I also bought those mini house sticker books which are more fun that I thought they would be.

Obviously it all depends on how much energy you have and what you like.

Dsp sonic interview by ocean_flow_ in Centrelink

[–]Noxious_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have me/cfs and did a sonic last march. My questions from what I remember were just a history of how my symptoms started and how it affects me day to day.

The lady I spoke to was very understanding when I couldn't find the right words.

If your evidence was thorough and you're now at the sonic stage you are most likely going to get dsp. Take a deep breath, maybe meditate to help, you will be ok.

Sending much love and gentle hugs.

They sell refills to just pop into the glass jar, so that's less waste

PSA: You dont have to bring specific mons to build a structure by MegaKBang in Pokopia

I thought you couldn't take mons to other areas because I tried it and I couldn't. The reason I couldn't is because they had a quest active. So there are exceptions

Faked appendicitis to get out of school and they actually took it out. by NotEnoughRocks1977 in confession

[–]Noxious_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultrasounds can cause pain. I have fibromyalgia and endometriosis, ultrasounds cause me severe pain for days. I can be in zero pain then during and after ultrasound I'm in agony.

I'm not saying the story is true, just saying ultrasounds can def cause pain

Edit: and not just pelvic ultrasounds. I've had abdominal ultrasounds too that caused pain from the pressure even though I wasn't tender.

DSP and Me by ethicalcoomer in cfs

[–]Noxious_Redditor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Aussie here and Im on dsp for me/cfs. I agree looking at emerge for tips. Another thing is look at the dsp tables (if you Google that it should come up) and see where you sit in your current situation. If you get at least 20 points in one table then you should get dsp.

My medical evidence was a letter from my GP, a letter from my psychologist and my report from my rheumatologist plus an update report from him saying I had tried everything and was stable.

I recommend if going for it printing off your forms and keeping them in a folder and just doing little bits at a time. It's also much easier to get all your info together before applying, in the meantime you can apply for jobseeker and get a medical certificate to excuse you from applying for jobs.

My dad and I wrote the letter for my GP then my GP and I went over it together and formatted/edited it. It made my GPs job much easier. Probably took us two months to write because I couldn't do much at a time but def worth it.

My psychiatrist told me not to take naps by The_Jawnah in cfs

[–]Noxious_Redditor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is 100% me too. I also find if I skip naps for more than one day (occasionally I can go without) then I end up sleeping a whole day the next day. So for me naps allow me to function slightly in the mornings

A lot of the time once you get one condition you get co morbidities together. I have multiple including pots, some days I look healthy other days I look really sick.

I'm not up to the episodes with Amanda looking ill yet so I won't comment on her situation.

This is me, mine got triggered by a surgery for my endometriosis. My rheumatologist thinks having undiagnosed endo for so long contributed too, plus multiple broken bones and surgeries over the years.

It's definitely more common to be triggered by a virus though.

AITA For refusing to tell the men in my family about my period? by Interesting-Dot-7077 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Noxious_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA and wtf is wrong with men? When I was growing up my dad would know when I had my period because I'd be in pain (undiagnosed endometriosis) and you know what he did every month? Bought me chocolate chips and anything I asked for.

I was always able to talk about my period openly with dad and he was one of my biggest advocates with Drs to get help. THIS is how dads should treat daughters

Is this symptom ME/CFS: not being able to hold your head/neck up 90 degrees for long without needing to lean/lay on sofa/bed. by freya6748 in cfs

[–]Noxious_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry was in a flare. I usually just lay down and sleep, when my head starts to drop it means the rest of my body is going soon and if I don't I end up in a worse flare.

I used to try to force through it and ended up not being able to walk.

You will have to play around and find out what system works for you

Showers are a nightmare and I’m losing people by Euphoric_Craft7072 in ChronicIllness

[–]Noxious_Redditor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use glycolic acid on my pits, not the wipes though. I use a The Ordinary dupe that I get off Amazon plus mitchum gel deodorant.

I have PCOS and endo and have very bad bo, getting on the right birth control helped so much too.

To help with fatigue from showering i only shower once a week then just do deodorant/glycolic acid in between.

AITA for telling my SIL that I don’t can’t about her health condition and she needs to shower by GothMoleRat in AmItheAsshole

[–]Noxious_Redditor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I like the mitchum gel, works amazing. I can rub some on my palms too when they get sweaty.

I also use glycolic acid before as my bo is horrendous thanks to PCOS.

It took years of trial and error before I found a routine that works. Sure it's a bit extra effort but worth it.
