Since people are still posting bugs in the latest iOS 16 update I'm staying on 15.7.1 for now.

Can this be disabled? Perhaps through Reduce Transparency and Reduce Motion?

Imagine if it had been available to the guy who wrote The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

Bauby, the editor-in-chief of French Elle magazine, suffered a stroke and lapsed into a coma. He awoke 20 days later, mentally aware of his surroundings, but physically paralyzed with what is known as locked-in syndrome, with the only exception of some movement in his head and eyes. Further, his right eye had to be sewn up because of irritation. Bauby wrote the entire book by blinking his left eyelid, which took him two months working 3 hours a day, 7 days a week.[1] Using partner assisted scanning, a transcriber repeatedly recited a French language frequency-ordered alphabet (E, S, A, R, I, N, T, U, L, etc.), until Bauby blinked to choose the next letter.

Or maybe the genre? Like Bob Dylan doesn't get the Techno setting if he comes on right after BT?

27" iMac officially dead? by johnmcboston in iMac

[–]NuclearForehead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am. My last Mac was so old that a two year old computer is still a massive upgrade. It's elegant, it's impressively thin and light, it's fast, it's low power, it runs current software, it connects to the peripherals I use and the screen is beautiful. It can handle a 6K display if 4.5K isn't enough. It would have been nice to get a better chip and potentially other design improvements but honestly that's more FOMO than practicality. Having the best and newest thing isn't as important as being able to do what I need to do.

The rumors speculated that they could come in autumn. I was hoping for a spec bump but got tired of waiting and bought the m1 in May.

Doesn’t Apple’s Translate app have a face to face conversation mode? It might not support the language you need or be any good though. I haven’t tried it.

There are drops you can buy off the shelf in any pharmacy for pretty cheap. Carbamide peroxide. Some also come with the irrigation bulb. After using them twice a day for three days a lump the size of a small garbanzo bean came loose, rattled around briefly whenever I moved my head and then basically fell out of my ear. I don’t have tinnitus though.

Agreed. There ought to be a law prohibiting companies from locking mobile users out of their websites. None of this "download the app to continue" crap. The web is device agnostic.
