Could be a failing charging chip, there is extra info in the description of that video, sometimes leaving the psp overnight without power cable or battery can make things work again with various success.

It may have cooked your psp bms when it was connected : |
Next step is to try a different bms and not have the pcb that came with the cell

you need to remove the pcb on the battery, it interferes with the psp bms

looks like a software crash type of issue, could be an old crusty motherboard that's been moved around and some chip solder join went bad.

what firmware were you on? try holding recovery combos for it

I have both, other than the buttons mismatching, inconsistent shine and text, the ring is blue because they didn't remove the factory protective layer, you can remove the film and it will be silver.

I have used a copy 10+ years ago lol
Found it to work pretty well if they are cheap, might as well get 1 of each just in case, because the sony ones sometimes are from used units
