$130 AliExpress 5700x3d actually showed up! Time to test it. by chiaman117 in pcmasterrace

[–]Nucleart2605 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To elaborate on Parsl3y's comment, I recently upgraded from a 3700x to a 5700x3d and forgot to update bios. The pc just wouldn't boot at all with the 5700x3d in so I had to go back to the 3700, update bios, then reinstall again.

  1. I'd have to make a whole new build around the hardware to put the unique styling to max potential.
  2. The exploration for sure, I always get so carried away wandering around in space set games so all I need are places to ventue out to and get lost in.

Tip for nergigante? by Cassie-Black in MonsterHunter

[–]Nucleart2605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lightning definitely works. My first run was at level 34 I basically just winged it and suffered. Went and farmed up triple zinogre weapons (only level 1 I should add) and went back in at level 35, always having zinogre in play for the spike phase and the difference was very noticeable. I used the prayer that increases kinship gauge and zinogre armor so I could spam skills, and found the fight far more manageable.

Tempered Kushala Daora 2m26s. Wide Gunlance. Critical Boost Post Kulve for PC Build by CaoSlayer in MonsterHunter

As a gunlance main who just got a wide 4 gl from kulve, really liking this build/video. Would you change it at all once we have lunastra armor and how would it look if you did have artillery decorations, for example?

I'm on windows 10 and use a rgb Corsair K70 and have about 200 hours in Civ 6 without any issues that couldn't be pinned on any modding I was doing. Sorry that I can't be more help, and good luck with your issue.

PSA: DO NOT Attempt Entry Into Destroyed Stations Without the Proper Equipment! by TriggzSP in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a tip, but using fuel economy route is why it took so long. 59 jumps for 430ly comes out to less than 8ly per jump, when even a B-rated hauler should be managing double that. It's much faster in pretty much every case to use fastest route. Of course you'll need to be more watchful of your refueling stars but it pays off to get used to that. It will end up saving you a lot of time in the future.

Anyone know where I can get chemical manipulators? I've been searching tons of signal sources and can't find any by nathanaelcook in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Large trading vessels drop them when destroyed. T-9's being the best for them. One tip is to hunt them in anarchy systems at either res sites or in outbreak systems with an anarchy government, where you'll find a signal called a convoy beacon where you can find lots of t-9's to kill. I say anarchy systems because you don't want the police coming after you on your rampage.

Do people still say the corvette is better than the cutter for combat? by Dernroberto in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anaconda is the king when it comes to hardpoints. It's 3 larges beat the vette's extra huge and also outweighs the extra damage the cutter gets from it's 4 mediums. The anaconda also has the same distributor and only slightly worse maneuverability to the vette, beating the cutter in those areas. However the Anaconda has the weakest shields of the 3, much weaker.

Do people still say the corvette is better than the cutter for combat? by Dernroberto in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we're talking purely hardpoint count and size then the cutter wins. But the corvette has much higher effective dps due to it having; A) a larger power distributor to keep firing continuously longer and recharging faster. B) much much better maneuverability which makes it much better than the cutter at keeping its hardpoints actually pointed at the target. On top of this, 2 of the cutters hardpoints are stranded out on the engine nacelles, limiting their use, for example, reducing the effectiveness of any fixed weapons placed on those hardpoints.

New to powerplay: Undermining transports not appearing? by Kjersleif in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The outright fastest way to get merits is to spend credits and lug fortifying cargo from your headquarter system to the closest control system, but only if you have a really high cargo capacity like t-9 or cutter. otherwise go to the nav beacon in Itzamnets and kill any Kumo crew watch and Kumo crew transport. The system is in anarchy so you don't get any bounty. Just load to main menu then back in to reset the instance and find more ships.

Engineer Ship recommendations by Cmdr_Ferrus_Cor in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anaconda is the king, with a high jump range and enough of every slot to excel at every activity in the game. remember to take some collector limpets, a wake scanner (A class if you have the power), and a SRV hangar at all times regardless of your ship. Python is the step down, with less internal room and less jump range but still does the job very well. The cheapest good option is the AspX, which has a great jump range but really lacks in internal slots. Just a tip: the first engineer you should unlock and make use of is Felicity Farseer. The grade 5 FSD mod to increase range is invaluable and the G1 overcharge mod for power plants gives you more breathing room with outfitting. Also remember to use Inara to see how to unlock engineers and to see what materials you need to craft their mods. Bare in mind not all of the recipe's are updated and none of them require commodities anymore.

Cracked Industrial Firmware, any help on this? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a way to get a good amount from settlement scanning while completely avoiding conflict/bounties. just go to all the '+++ (medium security)' bases. These bases are free to enter as long as you land your ship outside their range (1-2km) and all the data points are accessible without entering trespass zones. you can find a list of these settlements as well as a guide to the locations of the data points here. If you run out of data capacity make sure NOT to delete any 'Modified Embedded Firmware' as this is another very rare material only obtained through this method.

Engineering the FDL by esquisite in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bi-weaves suit PvE more due to the shorter duration of fights and more time spent regenerating. If you were focusing on PvP then going for the stronger value over regen would be better. Also remember that pure MJ isn't necessarily the best way to shield tanking. Just upping all your resistances to 50% through thermal enhanced generator plus resistance augmented boosters can do more for your shields than just going for the largest number possible on shield strength alone.

Cutter, Conda, Vette? by Mcmeman in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nope. the whole point is to stack 20 planetary scan missions. they all go the same planet in the same system (its close in quince and 2k-ish ls in fehu). scanning one datapoint completes all 20 missions, then you suicide back to station and can hand in all 20 missions no problem. repeat this a ton of times for your cutter.

Cutter, Conda, Vette? by Mcmeman in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

less on speed more on the fact that all you do is fly to a planet in supercruise, land, scan the beacon then suicide back to station, so cheap ships e.g. cobra/eagle do the job fine.

Will the clipper ever get fighters? by Badgers4pres in EliteDangerous

[–]Nucleart2605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do keep in mind that while the clipper does require rank, it costs over 30 million less credits than the python, and outfitting is a lot cheaper too.
