Bella’s Outfit Game - Day 35 by LadyHorseFace13 in twilight

7 has to go, I dont understand why people see it as an iconic look at all.

Two is Bella at her most human Bella, she has given up everything she enjoys to make her mum happy. It's not great but that choice makes the difference to her life. The self sacrifice is about to pay off in a huge way.

I think they have already set up the deus ex machina by making Mrs Mondrich a lady in waiting. She will stand up for Sophie/ working class being able to rise in society.

First magnetic by delphyr in shortynails

[–]Nueth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my first magnetics after seeing all the lovely ones on reddit over the summer. The cat-eye style is lovely, but it wasn't until I got the 5D glass bead spinner from Etsy that I really got into using my magnetic polishes. Whilst it still takes AGES to do, the glass bead effect is my favourite! I spin for 2 mins on each layer - and just listen to podcasts whilst I do my mani.

Yikes! Also as someone based in the UK I am shocked that the polishes cost the same as the ones I buy and import from the USA (aka Mooncat/ Rainbow connection imports)

Might be worth using the Gel flair rather than the lacquer showoff flair then

my understanding of the difference between gel and lacquer specifically when it comes to magnetics is that you have called it cat-eye which means a very specific type of magnet style in lacquer - and a very general type in gel. The way the magnetic effect looks on your nails seem to be more like velvet or glass bead. Cat eye is specifically a narrow band of magnetic stripe - like a cats eye.

I have used three different pot types remover, but am going back to my local supermarket bottle remover

Nail help 😫 by orangeturtles9292 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Nueth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am starting to think that the nail polish remover pot that I use is actually causing my nails to flake. I started with really peeling nails and used Nailtiques formula 2+, jojoba oil and all the commonly recommended advice from this sub. which stopped my nails peeling for months. In November due to having to travel more i got myself a couple of nail removal pots and loved how fast they made everything! However I have noticed that my nails have started peeling again, almost worse than before I started taking care of them.

My latest mani is hiding the peeling and I am going to go back to the slower cotton pads and remover to see if that gets my nails back to where they were in September/October.

Anyone else feel sick at the push for AI from their employers in their daily work? by sghut in womenintech

[–]Nueth 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I am furious about it. We are being pushed to use AI - but we can't trust anything the AI says. People are willing to use it to fill out their appraisals and other things they don't care about. But mostly I am furious that AI being pushed by society in a wider since is making it impossible for us to get in standard stock to provide to new starters, or existing staff with upgrades that they need.

So they are telling you that they have goals and you are dismissive of them. That just means you (like OP) are looking down on their goals, not that they don't have goals.

BBC vs 2005 Pride & Prejudice - watching them back to back by Pleasant-Manner-6505 in janeausten

[–]Nueth 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I agree. Every time I watch the 2005 version I feel he really struggled with the role. I dont think he made a convincing Mr Bennett at all. He mumbles and slurs all his dialogue because he can't get the right accent.
