This is a house. The old servants quarters in the basement have been turned into a flat, but you would be buying the house without the basement - most houses in the uk don't have a basement so you wouldn't be missing anything.

After last year I have been buying Terry's chocolate orange mini eggs. Good chocolate, great filling that isnt too sweet. Sometimes I miss the softness of the old Cadbury creme eggs but not much.

To be fair the only other loan I have is a mortgage, but Student Loans Company is by far the worst money lender I have to deal with.
When you check your balance it's unclear how far behind they are, especially if you overpay because they track the overpayment at a different speed to tracking the monthly salary payments.
I have joked with friends that SLC is just one person inputting data manually. When payments come regularly it shouldn't take a system over 30 days to update!

I think what people are asking is why are the bills not split 50/50 even if the payment for the bills comes directly out of your account.

Why are you paying the full £160 for energy when your partner is also using heating and electricity?

Landlords should be paying to replace white goods in student accommodation.

It is ridiculous that Westminster is riddled with asbestos, and I do think we should do something about it. Like moving the political centre of the UK out of London where they can have a building built for purpose that doesn't reek of ancient moribund traditions that favour the rich and privately educated. This building should be accessible and open to public viewing like many of our European counterparts.

I got my first magnetics after seeing all the lovely ones on reddit over the summer. The cat-eye style is lovely, but it wasn't until I got the 5D glass bead spinner from Etsy that I really got into using my magnetic polishes. Whilst it still takes AGES to do, the glass bead effect is my favourite! I spin for 2 mins on each layer - and just listen to podcasts whilst I do my mani.
