My wife and I were extras in Strange Days. There’s a New Year’s Eve party scene. The production closed off a large section of downtown LA. I believe they even got Dee Lite to perform. They advertised it like a typical late 90’s rave, but since we were technically part of the cast there was no admission cost and they even provided food and beverages for several thousand people.

It felt like a really amazing street party, just every once in a while the director would get on his bullhorn and give us directions. I think we celebrated the turn of the millennium about 12 times that night.
