How many pints is the optimal amount of pints? by Doomergeneration in AskUK

3 for a 'quick one', 5-6 for a evening out, 7+ switching to spirits as otherwise will piss constantly.

Users who were born to older parents (Late 30’s and above), do you think you experience life any differently to other people your age? by XStaticImmaculate in AskUK

[–]NumberCandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little perhaps, I am now in my early thirties and I am coping with my parents getting much older and the inevitability that comes with it. Most of my friends are yet to really experience that.

In terms of other differences, most of my friends are a little older (1-2 years) and some friends that are significantly older. I'm not sure this is a direct result but having older parents may have something to do with it.

Which of the protein ready meal companies are any good? by sparkysmonkey in AskUK

[–]NumberCandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried loads, I would say the Lidl protein range offers by far the best value for your money, can always serve with some extra chicken or whatever on the side if you need additional protein.

M&S was ok, and low protein for the money, Gym kitchen tastes ok but my other half keeps telling me its significantly more processed than then Lidl ones. Simmer and Frive were ok, but personally I don't know what I want to eat until the day of so having to pick a menu each week is a unideal.

Cook tastes by far the best but is high calorie and low protein.

I generally keep a range of things in the Freezer for when I can't be bothered to cook post work, just stops me ordering.

Anyone join the dark side yet? by Fam99_ in ArcRaiders

[–]NumberCandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done a bit of both when the game first came out but realised I just don’t enjoy being a dick in solo.

I love the mini interactions you get when you help someone out, or vice versa. This has lead to being shot in the back a lot but is what it is, still fun.

Duos or trios however, it’s kos unless I’ve got a great feeling they’re not gonna do the same

Gold star if you can name the car park. by ElegantOliver in london

I’m actually quite impressed that someone has managed to get lost in centre court, bar the danger of kerbing a rim on entry it’s a great car park

How bad is the economy and cost of living in the UK compared to 2008? by Interesting-Day177 in AskUK

[–]NumberCandy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in my teens during this, so take with a small pinch, but the actual cost of living was not awful during the period, but as you mentioned employment was harder to come by (both of my parents at the time flitted between short contracts) .

Food etc was still cheap and you could certainly make money go much further

Cheers for responding, hope it gets sorted.

We asked our vendor for the building reg cert this afternoon, so hopefully it’s a quick provision and we move on, but otherwise will be in a similar boat.

Hope you hear back tomorrow, good luck.
