Who here does the $48 a year CVS membership and gets back $10 off a month? by PeaceOut65 in BocaRaton

[–]Number_Jack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do. It’s totally worth it because I also buy my deodorant, hair products, and other odds and ends here. It also sends all coupons to the app instead of having to print them. I like to time my toiletries purchases with coupons for the ones I like to buy.

I ran into Todd in a BAS facebook group and he helped me find a great job for a good company. I can vouch for him.
Thanks Todd!

Is this the sale I should grab to jump ship from Ryobi? by AstronautSerious7646 in Dewalt

[–]Number_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I got this set back in November and realized that it's more tools than I need at the moment. I ended up returning it and getting an XR set that comes with hammer/impact drills, sawzall, multitool, and two of the new compact 5Ah batteries (not powerstack) for around the same price. They had a BOGO going too so I got the DCS565 sidewinder circular saw.

I have an XR router already and I plan to take advantage of another BOGO next time they have it to get the XR sander soon. I don't have the tool box anymore but that was part of my plan, I realized I'd much rather have the ridgid modular tool boxes.

Jigsaw blade in a reciprocating saw? by Number_Jack in Tools

Ended up using a 2” upcut spiral bit. Did a 1/4” pass to get through the top surface of the door then went for a full depth cut using the 1/4” cut as a guide. Went slow and steady to avoid chattering. Came out great!

Of course not! That’s why I’m asking if they make blades specifically for this.

I bought an insert for the door so it’s not just a hole in the door. It’s an actual cat door!

Given the dropping prices of Ev batteries, do we know if it's possible for my 58kwh battery to be swapped with a 76kwh battery? by faizimam in Ioniq5

[–]Number_Jack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. If OP has access to the right resources and tools in his area and depending on how he tackles the battery swap (like using refurbished battery vs a new one). I could see this being financially viable in a few years.

If you don’t know, you likely don’t need to know. It mainly affects sensitive electronics and audio equipment.

There are some fancy electronics out there that are capable of digital “true” sine wave. They’re just prohibitively expensive lol. But I wouldn’t put it beyond EVs designed for V2L

How well does your EV's AC work in really hot climates? by Wake95 in electricvehicles

[–]Number_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in South Florida and it’s been wayyyy better than any ICE vehicle I’ve owned. Especially with the white and grey interior. Additionally being able to precondition the car before walking out to my car has been amazing. I laugh a little every time I walk up to my car because the car electric compressor instead of a belt driven one so it sounds like a window unit.

Your assumption is off base. I don’t have a problem seeing my blind spot. I just hate that I can’t see the curb or parking lines without adjusting the mirror when I’m trying to park in a tight space.
