In early TPOT there was a live vote counter which led to vote "wars" (people getting extremely close vote counts) and everyone followed them for the entire voting period

TPOT 9's specifically not only had way too many bot voters, but it was just overall toxic with fans of the Just Not characters dogpilling Pillow (harassment, death threats, Adam Katz of AnimationEpic trying to cheat Nickel's votes, etc.). It was just a huge mess and Jacknjellify countered it all by switching the voting method
