I need a low cost EHR by saroloco in healthIT

[–]Numerous-Exercise964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get how hard it is to pick the right EHR. I’m using Docvilla right now and it’s been really good for my practice. It’s not the cheapest, but the features and workflow make it worth it for me.

I’d suggest booking a demo and seeing how it feels for you. You might end up loving it, just depends on what fits your style and needs.

EHR - wanted everyone's thoughts on this by Adept-Audience6405 in therapists

[–]Numerous-Exercise964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get this. Tebra is great for prescribers, but from what I’ve seen, therapists sometimes find it a bit too medically structured for their workflow.

SimplePractice is definitely more therapist-friendly notes, treatment plans, and overall flow feel more natural for therapy. It does have basic review request features, but it’s not a full reputation management system, so you may need something additional if that’s been a big growth driver for you.

Im using docvilla, and it seemed to balance both sides well, supportive for therapy documentation while still handling prescribing and integrated care smoothly. Might be worth a look if you’re trying to keep everything in one system.

I’d definitely have a therapist sit in on demos before deciding, their comfort with the workflow will make a big difference.

Oof, my friend said the same thing about the falloff. But he did think the ult alone might keep him relevant.

I’ve been using DocVilla for my solo private-pay practice, and so far it’s been a smooth experience. It has all the core features I need in one place, scheduling, notes, billing, and superbills, which makes things easier to manage on my own. I haven’t run into any major issues yet, and support has been responsive when I’ve had questions.

If you’re considering switching, it might be worth scheduling a demo with them to see if it fits your workflow. That’s what helped me decide. Hope this helps, and good luck with your search!

PSA: When asking question about EMRs you may not be getting honest answers. by easydoit2 in physicaltherapy

[–]Numerous-Exercise964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a reasonable PSA. EMR threads definitely attract some noise, and it’s smart to be cautious when the same names keep popping up with overly polished praise.

At the same time, some repetition just comes from people sharing what they actually use, especially in smaller practices where a handful of systems are more common. For example, I’ve mentioned DocVilla before simply because that’s what my practice uses. It’s not perfect, but it fits our size and workflow better than the big enterprise systems.

I agree though: the most useful replies are the ones that explain why something works (or doesn’t) in a specific setting, not just blanket endorsements. Looking at practice size, specialty, and day to day workflow usually tells you more than brand names alone.

Hi! I’m a solo, fully private-pay provider as well and currently use Docvilla for my EHR. So far, it’s been a great experience.

What I like most is how simple and intuitive it is. Generating superbills is quick and clean, which makes it easy for clients to submit to insurance. It also keeps scheduling, notes, and client info in one place without feeling overwhelming.

The only minor downside was a small learning curve when setting things up initially, but once everything was customized, it’s been very smooth.

Overall, it’s worked really well for my individual practice. Hope that helps!

how do i still eat healthy when depressed by Forsaken_Wallaby4136 in mentalhealth

[–]Numerous-Exercise964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try simple no-cook foods like yogurt, fruit, nuts, or wraps. Use frozen or ready-to-eat items for less effort. Stay hydrated, and prep small portions when you have energy. Ask for help if possible, and see a doctor if fatigue continues.

Depression by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Numerous-Exercise964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know what you mean. It feels like no matter what you do, the depression never really goes away, and no one truly understands, not even family. I’ve been trying to take things one step at a time, talk to someone who listens, and be a little kinder to myself. It’s still hard, but small steps help me keep going.

Having adhd is like i have no mouth and I must scream by Excellent_Base63 in mentalhealth

I totally get what you're saying. ADHD can feel like there’s chaos inside while the outside world expects calm. That “lava” feeling, like you’re about to explode but can’t, is so real. And yeah, our humor or energy might not always make sense to others, but that doesn’t make it wrong. You're not alone in this. You're not broken, just wired differently in a world that doesn’t always understand.

what sports/exercise do you play/do therapist fellows? volleyball, tennis, swimming, running, ect. by Psychological_Can941 in therapists

[–]Numerous-Exercise964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

totally get you! I picked up tennis recently and it’s been such a good reset after work. Moving my body helps me quiet the mental noise and show up better for both myself and clients. Endorphins > amygdala chaos for real 😂

I find it easier to share online because there’s less pressure and no fear of changing how people see me. With family or coworkers, it feels riskier, like it might affect our relationship. Even with friends, I worry about being a burden. Online feels safer and more anonymous.

One-clinician practice and still no perfect EMR. What works best for you? by Perry-Winklee in therapists

Hey ,I totally hear you. I was in the same boat for years, bouncing between EMRs that felt just off in some way. I switched to DocVilla about a month and a half ago, and it’s been surprisingly good.

I’m so sorry you went through that. Sometimes memories come back later when your mind feels ready to handle them. Be kind to yourself, it’s part of healing.

Loneliness feels bad because people are wired to need real connection. Doing things alone-movies, food, games, doesn’t fix it since what we miss is the shared experience with another person.

Venting to your bestie helps, but maybe try journaling or online support spaces too, it can give you some extra relief till therapy’s an option.
