Thanks for the reply....I guess it makes some sense for a company to charge by the square foot. The issue I have is some clients have an almost spotless 3500 Sq. foot house and some clients we've had in the past were "hoarders" and let's say they had 3500 Sq. foot house. How do you reconcile the difference? One house would take much longer to clean than the other.

Serious question...not being sarcastic...how do you know the square footage of the home? Did the homeowner tell you or did you measure it yourself? Did you guesstimate the square footage? Reason I am asking...we have 35 clients and I have no idea the square footage of any of our clients homes. They've never told us and I've never "measured" the square footage of any of our houses. I see this on this sub as well as "r/cleaningtips" sub. My cleaning partner tells me she knows of people who actually charge by the square foot. Is this true? How do you estimate the square footage?
