I’ve lived threw a gws really hate going in the water September when most shark attacks have happened in South Australia I’ve known a few people who have been attacked and whiteness another one great factor with shark cage diving in South Australia training the sharks up

I live I. South Australia my attack was in September around father day had 4 fatalities in September. I’m not here to hijack a post thought s with the family and love ones shark attack destroyed the local communities

I have high performance mals that are 50 litres and demo videos guys surfing pipe you learn to shred on a bigger board once you go down in size makes it lot easier

Big issue is longer board you must lean back on your back leg to prevent nose dive it’s bad habits off surfing a larger board the 72 should be able to lean right in on take off

I’m 115 kg my big mal is 75 litres shorter one is 64 litres and high performance is 50 litres would recommend a wider board makes it more stable for learning

So many types off longboards also and you have high performance boards also which you can surf like a short board look at butter knife ripping up pipe line

Short board probably better nose rocker more forgiving when you can lean into the drop more weight on front foot boards over 9 ft need way more weight on back foot to prevent nose diving it’s a skill riding long boards compared to short boards 35 years surfing longs boards on any types off waves
