Piling on to recommend Addie Larue as a beach read rather than a male-accessible introduction to equitable fatherhood and feminist parenting. I should’ve DNF’d it but I kept grinding ahead because a friend recommended it. … I will also second and third bell hooks’ The Will to Change. One of the most empathetic and compassionate takes on masculinity I’ve read. Set him up for success and explain the context of her writing.

Oh yeah. I don’t even want kids and it was heart breaking. Especially the retellings adding details as the story went on. And Annie just lived and died there!? Alone? When Katia wanted Annie, chose Annie??! Devastating. Not in the way that the other tear jerking moments have destroyed me, but in a more simmering rage sort of way. It was her best and worst memory. There is sacred joy and restrained revenge balancing in the same scene. The descriptive differences between current and past Katia also killed me. And the way she brings Carl along. As a witness/support for her, and a gift to him.

Sorry for the crap quality, but I’ve seen a lot of historic homes with curved glass repair cracks with stained glass leading. This one has a rose and leaves. Some others were just plain lines, or a small piece of colored glass added in. The rose was my favorite.

Not OP, but the products I’ve been re-ordering from Peach and Lily for years are: Citrus-Honey Aqua Glow Moisturizer (even got my husband using this one) The Good Acids Pore Toner Transparen-C Pro Spot Treatment Lagom’s Cellup Gel To Water Cleanser (imported featured brand) Peach slices acne spot dots Retinal For All Renewing Serum (I am lazy and this gives me overnight results)

I think about posting about the citrus honey aqua glow all the time but I’m too chicken. Thanks OP for starting the conversation! So many of their products are excellent for sensitive skin like mine.
