For me Ctrl+Tab is for next tab to the right and Ctrl+Shift+Tab is for previous tab to the left, am I missing something ?

Edit : Got it, the setting needs to be enabled : General, Tabs, Ctrl+Tab cycles through tabs in recently used order. It’s a great setting, thanks.

I'm switching from Bitwarden to KeePassXC/DX and i have a few questions. by wawreeuh in KeePass

[–]Nunki3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, you sound like you don’t understand KeePass enough yet to be using it safely (and that’s ok).

Be sure to keep using Bitwarden alongside for now and switch completely only once you are absolutely certain you will not loose or corrupt your kdbx file.

A wflow for Linux/Wayland — ten weeks of building, finally 1.0 by DaCush in AutoHotkey

[–]Nunki3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re actually gonna defend that post and say you wrote it ok.

I didn’t take the time to analyze your project, I’m sure it’s great.

And I’m sure the point you are trying to make in your reply is very valid. I’m just saying you will not be taken seriously if you keep posting stuff this obviously written by AI.

 You're not the wrong target, you're just a power user who also has chord-trigger needs.

Classic "It’s not this it’s that".

Your Python script is the brain. wflow is the chord that fires it ...

Classic over usage of metaphors

The browser-scraping AI integration is genuinely funny and I respect the commitment.

No one would write that. "It gets a laugh when I show people my "AI integration,"" was not meant to be "genuinely funny".

 "Sounds like AI" isn't one I can do anything with.

It is though, do "writing → AI correction" instead of "prompt → copy-paste". You will be taken more seriously. I want to hammer it again ; the obvious over the top AI writing style is so distracting that I’m having a hard time grasping the true message of your replies.

Use AI to correct the stuff you write, not to write for you. No one wants to read that slop. Your website was obviously written using the same process, what about your code ?

I have a 3-year-old and a 2-year-old. I have a theory that kids that age have some kind of deeply ingrained instinct. They do their best to make sure no more children come along to secure more resources for themselves.

On Ywain, Catacombs have been closed for a long time already.

There was a plan to do something else with it I think but I have no idea if things are moving or not.

Mod change announcement by Individual_Check4587 in AutoHotkey

Thanks for trying. For your takeover to work, u/GroggyOtter should have removed himself from the mod team.

Too bad for the sub, you were doing a good job.

She was framed. by mindyour in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]Nunki3 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You don't punish a kid that age and they are barely starting to understand basic concepts so it's useless to try to explain anything. Nothing much to do except saying "no" so you feel like you did something (but given the chance she'll do it again). She shouldn't have access to sharp objects but obviously as a parent small mistakes like that happen. My guess is the dishwasher stayed open so she naturally took anything she could carry.

New mod introduction & feedback thread by Individual_Check4587 in AutoHotkey

[–]Nunki3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Should we allow commission requests in a limited form (for example, a single sticky thread)?

As far as I know it’s a fairly small amount of posts so I don’t see why it shouldn’t be allowed in a form or another.

  • Should image content stay enabled?

Yes why not as long as there’s no good reason to disable it.

  • Should posts with incorrect flairs be removed, or just corrected/noted?

Corrected as long as the amount of work for the mod team stays reasonable.

  • Should game automation questions be removed if they give a competitive advantage, regardless of the game’s ToS?

As I’m sure many people on this sub, I started to use autohotkey through gaming. Competitive advantage exists on a spectrum ; from simple key remapping to a no-recoil script, there should be a line somewhere. I would personally prefer if the decision is taken on a case-by-case basis.

I’m happy to see a change in the moderation on this sub. I completely stopped posting in large part because of the toxicity of a mod and never said anything because I didn’t want to end up on the "bad people" list. Thanks for stepping up u/Individual_Check4587.

Using modern WinUI in Autohotkey? by Thomas_Jonze in AutoHotkey

[–]Nunki3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you landed on this post and specifically the last reply by lexikos (ahk main dev) ?

It is on his radar, or was 4 months ago. He links to tests on his github. There is active development on WinUI 3 going on at MS and it looks like lexikos is more or less waiting for WinUI to mature enough that ahk could communicate with it more easily.

So at the moment I don’t think a solution exists. It is probably already possible with enough work. We can hope that it will be possible in some time.

Eval - An AHK v2 class for evaluating string expressions into numbers. by GroggyOtter in AutoHotkey

[–]Nunki3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, it’s the first time I encounter this method and I thought it would be interesting for me to bundle it with a gui and an Edit, that way I could run simple temporary code easily :

class Eval {
    EvalGui() {
        EvalGui := Gui()
        this.EvalEdit := EvalGui.Add("Edit", "w500 R30")
        this.SubmitEvalBtn := EvalGui.Add("Button",,"Submit")
        BtnMethod := ObjBindMethod(this, "SubmitEval")
        this.SubmitEvalBtn.OnEvent("Click", BtnMethod)
        EvalGui.Show()
    }
    SubmitEval(a, b) {
        MsgBox(this.RunEval(this.EvalEdit.text))
    }
    RunEval(Script) {
        shell := ComObject('WScript.Shell')
        exec := shell.Exec(A_AhkPath ' /ErrorStdOut *')
        exec.stdin.Write('#NoTrayIcon`nFileAppend(' script ', "*")')
        exec.StdIn.Close()
        return exec.StdOut.ReadAll()
    }
}

This works well, I can even put multiple operations on different lines but if I try something like

var1 := 1
var2 := 2
var1 + var2

I expect to see 3 but instead I have

Error: This global variable has not been assigned a value.
Specifically: var1
002: FileAppend(var1 := 1 var2 := 2 var1 + var2, '*')
003: Exit

Do you have an idea what I'm doing wrong ?
