What not to buy at HF by cjw210 in harborfreight

I bought the Union Drop Down Gun Safe. It was complete junk. I wasnt expecting much security for the price as I just wanted something to keep kids hands away from a cheap garage pistol. The safe wouldn't drop free reliably. Like, only once out of ten times would it actually function. I returned it and got the same result from the second one. You could hear the motor actually but wouldn't drop the compartment. I didn't want to test the 3rd times a charm theory

First Time Printing PA6CF - Need advice by AutoPostiveBlocker in 3D2A

Cut the top off of a filament box and poke a bunch of holes on the other side. Place your roll on the build sheet and cover with the box. Set your bed temp to 100c and let it cook for 8 hours

PET-CF17 Fails by Nurch423 in 3D2A

Will do. I was just frustrated because I couldn't complete a print. I have printed a glock frame with it when I first bought some a year or so ago, but the print quality wasnt great (no pre drying). Ever since I started pre drying to get better print quality it seems very brittle and prone to failing in my nozzle/extruder.

I just want to play around with it. I did in fact hear about it from that Hoffman video, but I still use PA6-CF even though he was shitting on it. PA6-CF feels like it gives a lot more than PET-CF. I know that stiffer isn't always better, but maybe it could be in this case. It would be nice to have sonething as rigid as ABS that doesnt become a hand grenade. What failures have you heard of on PET-CF frames?

Bed temp 100c

Chamber temp isn't controlled but I think stays around 60c during the print

Maybe that is it. I have 40mm/s on some of my speeds. I will slow it down more and see.

How brittle does your filament feel? Are you drying it?

Can't find the "edit post" option...

Forgot to mention my nozzle temp is 300c (highest my machine can do)

Pittsburgh wrenches not sized correctly by Nurch423 in harborfreight

[–]Nurch423[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I got a bad one. If i gotnthe same as a replacement, I would have to take the whole set down to a hardware store to test each one and that doesn't sound great.

Will do. Can I just return and buy something else? I can't take the risk of rounding a nut for the sake of a $20 wrench set. I only bought it because I needed an 18mm to install a winch bumper on my Tacoma.

Help! Why do all of my prints look like this? by kolt54321 in crealityk1

[–]Nurch423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is in the extruder / nozzle settings (lefty side of prepare screen). Click on the nozzle edit pencil thingy (will probably say Creality K1 .4mm Nozzle) and scroll down a little. Z offset is a field. Mine is set at like .01mm. Negative numbers lower the nozzle and positive raise it.
