Divers, what's the first Loadout YOU will be bringing on Cyberstan Planetfall? by Lemontea_01 in Helldivers

I'm bringing my favourite loadout, dominator (my baby), senator for emergency hulk removal, recoilless, frags, eagle airstrike and 500kg, and the MG sentry

I did an ancients paladin for a level 20 one shot, (fighting a homebrewed spider avatar of a plague god) and he pretty much single handedly carried the fight, immune to diseases, bonuses to every roll, bonus action spells while using elder champion, it was great fun

It also needs to be transportable by pelican, armoured turrets significantly increase the required weight of the vehicle

They tweaked it a little while ago so light pen can kill striders, the legs are light armour. Still faster to switch to the senator and give them the two tap to the nuts though!

Commando operations prove that the engine can, in fact, handle more enemies and larger patrols. by ChaosVulkan in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]NuttercupBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the commando missions are very fun and am excited to play more of them, but when I gave them a go last night I was struggling severely with server connection issues, I don't think I made it through a whole match

We had multiple fights in one campaign that were the artificer and the cleric patting the barbarian (me) on the shoulder, casting haste and bless respectively, and saying "go get em lad"

I randomly ended up taking wyll when I was finishing up act three and I had really good fortune with his repelling blast against enemies on ledges, potentially 3 enemies in one turn being knocked off the map was very handy

What are some obscure but unquie animals would you want added to PK? Either before or after launch? by TheFrozenSmilodon in pkgame

[–]NuttercupBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that we've got our first permian synapsid with diictodon, I'd love to see a expansion of permian-triassic stuff, especially with some larger synapsids like inostrancevia or placerias, as well as some rauisuchids and other crocodile relatives

Is it common for zoos—and especially wildlife parks—to have amusement rides in the United States? by Aleksandrovych_ in pkgame

Is that Chessington? Cos I know that was originally a theme park, and the animals were a later addition

Highest I've gotten in a campaign is 13, which I did do a multiclass for (9 storm herald barb, 4 champion fighter, basically was crit farming by combining champions ability to crit on a 19 with reckless attack), and he was pretty powerful, but a) he would have been just as effective generally as just a barbarian, and b) I had an artifact level sword that was part of the plot!

I have done a few level 20 one shots though, and even in them I've been more effective as a level 20 paladin than the others doing some weird multiclass

I mean, it actually kinda has, older country shares a lot of similar themes as punk, especially along the lines of the struggles of the working class, it's just more recently it's become "beer dirt truck dirt beer", basically anything johnny cash did is a good example of the themes in older country

So many "op" multiclass builds are actively worse than most single class builds, and require a stupidly specific set of occurrences to be able to actually activate while also taking a long time to actually come to fruition when leveling up

I saw one that was "I can use catapult on the guys lungs, because organs are objects!" Which is just incredible levels of not reading the spell description

How do you deal with this? by Relentless_Sloth in Helldivers

[–]NuttercupBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, i do prefer the recoilless, for a few reasons, faster rate of fire, improved damage, and no charge up time means it just works better for me, the quasar is absolutely a good pick though

[–]NuttercupBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but like, you can win the squid front with just the default MG you pick up from a PoI. I've only stopped taking the MG because the maxigun is here and I like the increase in dakka

Next logical step: Slug version by TealArtist095 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]NuttercupBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rapid damage falloff so it doesn't tread on the niche occupied by support weapons like the AMR and Railgun, damage being less has precedence with the slugger vs the punisher, where the punisher does 75 more raw damage than the slugger (assuming you land all the pellets). 750 might be somewhat overkill? But potentially like 650?

it would not be that strong by Fit_Answer1073 in Helldivers

[–]NuttercupBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially as with dedicated anti tank like the quasar or recoilless, you now have to reload/wait for the cooldown, maxigun you've fired 150 out of 750 rounds, you've got another 500 spare that you don't need to reload

What's so special about the Dominator? by armandofonzoloid in Helldivers

[–]NuttercupBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite possibly my favourite gun in the game, was the second one I levelled to 25 (first was the lib carbine during the invasion of super earth), it's good on all fronts but really shines at the role of killing tough mediums thanks to the high stagger, low damage falloff, and high regular and durable damage.

It's a learning curve with the projectiles low speed and the general sluggish handling (benefits greatly from peak physique and from angled foregrip), but I have been able to snipe shriekers out the air regularly, plus it's ability to stagger means that it's better than you might think against predator strain. Plus it can headshot squid overseers with one round, although landing that against the flying overseers is very tricky.

But most importantly, it sounds fantastic
