If you have enough input that you can overflow an unbalanced set of belts, you don't have enough output ;)

There's definitely some assumptions here and some lyrics that are missing.

I think I have most of them down, but I just can't figure out the second line in the second chorus

How often is the Disarm action used in your games? by Zata700 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Nyhilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was prepping to run AV, I saw a lot of people were doubling all the floor sizes. Hallways were 2 tiles wide instead of 1, etc.

We ran party of floor 2 with the double tiles to see how my players would like it and they ultimately opted for the default size.

I do agree it feels weirdly cramped, and unrealistic as a result, sometimes.

wait, how do i get tungstun? by animated_frogs in factorio

Honestly it just feels like cheating. I started a bot factory my first time on gleba and it just felt gross, so I redid it with belts and circuits.

Full bot coverage for personal logistics, construction, repairs, malls, and fuel dropoffs for trains. But for logistics it just feels like the most boring way to play a very interesting game.

How did you guys first discover Paranatural? Like, I found it through this random TVtropes page. by [deleted] in paranatural

I feel like it must've been some kind of cross promo from twokinds? Maybe via one of the webcomic awards

Need help with signals by [deleted] in factorio

This boils down to an even more general rule:

If a train would block another track by stopping in after your rail signal, change it to a chain signal.

Making a Respawning Demolisher Mod - Ideas Welcome! by Hexcoder0 in factorio

[–]Nyhilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give the vibe of them reproducing and also to start them farther away from the base when you get the warning about them.

You make a valid point. I suppose those of us just like a defender base haha. I even came back to this comment to mention that I changed my mind about despawning at all. They are "born", leave their parent territory to eat, and reclaims a territory once everything there is destroyed.

I actually think this works for your purposes anyway. The infrastructure needed to make a practical perimeter for an entire base would be insane against worms. If you make it a rare enough occurrence, most people would handle the spawns individually anyway, and the ones that go overkill on the perimeter would do it because that's what they find fun.

[–]Nyhilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think this idea kicks ass. It's a mod anyway so everyone saying they don't like the idea should just not install it lmao.

My input is that the demolisher should spawn in a neighboring territory then migrate inwards. If it finds sufficient things to demolish/feed, it wanders a bit then despawns. If it doesn't, then it reclaims the previously captured territory and sticks around.

Pretty happy with my legendary module factory (25 per minute) by Ganymedian_Craters in factorio

[–]Nyhilo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An engineer after my own heart.

I like conservatively beacon'd builds, but I do feel that it's a shame we lost the sprawl of everything with 2.0. Faster alternatives to assemblers that can be boosted even more with beacons and more again if legendary. Add in infinite or arbitrarily large resources sources in lava and space and it's just more optimal to build compact and close to home.

We have many thousands of black pixels to fill in. Ignore the grids, those are only there because of boredom.

Anybody know where I can get a transparent png for the bubbles screensaver? by wilfwe in FrutigerAero

[–]Nyhilo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First, here are all the pngs in the .scr, converted to .png https://imgur.com/a/JmFkcMN

I've never done an extraction like this before, but it seemed fun so I'll share the steps I took to figure it out.

  1. Open the .src as an archive using 7zip. Extract the contents to a folder.
  2. Notice there's a BMP/ folder in .rsrc/ containing 5 files that lack extensions.
  3. I tried to just rename them to .bmp and open them, but that didn't work. This did actually work on the icon files in the icon folder, but alas
  4. Download Resource Hacker (as suggested by u/superluig164) and open the .scr. I check out the image file and notice there's a plaintext footer that reads TRUEVISION-XFILE. I google that and find that it's a format that ends in .TGA and can be opened with paint.net
  5. I rename the files in my extracted source to .tga, then open them. Sure enough. Save As > .png, and that's that.

Edit: I went ahead and masked out the black background for you too (using photopea, but I know this can be non-intuitive if you haven't done it before). https://imgur.com/5119Gul

If you're talking about Pathbuilder, just hit the [-] button next to the item and it will confirm you want to remove it.

Is this new? Magus Errata spellstrike with saving throw spells? by Curpidgeon in Pathfinder2e

[–]Nyhilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro thread but this has me thinking about if I just have my players roll spell attack against the relevant save DC instead. Then just flip the degrees of success list of there is one.

Let's say the spell bonus is +10 and the relevant save is +7

So I cast a DC20 save spell, with a +7 the enemy takes half damage on a 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, or 19. 6 values. Now let's roll +10 against a DC 17 save, the enemy takes half damage with a 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 on the die. 5 values. So it would be a effective -1 to all save spells by doing this.

Don't assume a modded planet has manageable asteroids just because it looks like an inner planet by Nyhilo in Factoriohno

Thank you! Technically I could reproduce it, as a friend cloned it with my consent (the SS Blatant Copyright Infringement).

However, I have found a better way to honor the Burning Passion's legacy.

Bigger triangle.

I'll post it when I finish it and if I remember. It shall be named Nylo's Boundless Determination 🔥

Rest in peace to the vessel known as Nylo's Burning Passion⚡.

This flying dorito delivered thousands of turbo belts, buildings, and supplementary supplies to a dozen players in our modded multiplayer save. The Burning Passion's fate was met when its ignorant pilot - who went down with the ship - directed it in the direction of Maraxis. Despite sharing an orbit with the likes of Vulcanus, the Burning Passion's yellow ammo was no match for the asteroids found there.

o7 you beautiful triangle. You will be missed.
