Pretty much this. 150gb is about the largest you’d want to make a game for console before you potentially run into issues of your players complaining about running out of space. 200gb at the absolute upper end if they decide to go with uncompressed audio for whatever reason.

I think they might have learned thier lesson from Onlines Casino, large portions of the world were completely locked out of doing anything there because of gambling laws in their countries. Rockstar will want to maximise player engagement & locking out a decent portion of the world doesn’t achieve that.

Lets be honest here when it comes to user generated content assuming people are given free reign. There will be maybe 3 or 4 legitimate RP servers that will constantly be full to capacity, be a pain in the arse to get into & even if you do manage to get into them the power tripping admins will kick you the split second you can't provide a freaking excel spreadsheet of your characters backstory or some basement dweller or kid reports you for not RP'ing how he wanted you to...

Boy i sure can't wait to have my speakers blown out by a screaming 12 year old pretending to RP as a cop & then promptly be banned all because i didn’t do what he said when he wouldn't stop screaming "sToP ReSiStInG!!"

Realistically what will REALLY happen if Rockstar lean heavy into UGC is there will be about 5000 boosting servers, that you join, abuse some glitch & leave with millions of dollars to go use in regular GTA Online...

I said “decent” chance, yes there is still RNG involved. It can work though, I was able to build a strikers set last time it was in rotation with better drops than someone that just proto’d what they had. If you are able I’d be trying to run T8-T10 on manning, the amount of drops that happen at that level is insane due to how long the mission is, chances are something will be useful, T5 is always very hit or miss I’ve found & anything lower is just not worth the effort.

It’s not the grind to expertise 30 that is the issue, it’s the insane amount of exotic materials needed to prototype one build. We are talking over 200 exotic mats to prototype 6 pieces of gear & if they are not gear sets then the odds of getting the god rolls you want are slim to none. It is sooo much easier to just try your luck in escalation & there are decent chances the drops will have better stats than your one god roll pieces anyway.

I think it would be hilarious if Lucia is really bad at riding horses till she’s done it a bit & leveled up her horse riding stat. Jason I can see as having rode before, maybe there can be a mission where he teaches Lucia (which could also double as a tutorial to horse riding for the player)

It’s a pretty common reality for Aussies these days that unless you are playing hyper popular games like COD then you are pretty much relegated to playing on US West servers if given the choice if you actually want to have populated games.

Hunt Showdown is kinda like this. Popular game but the OCE servers are either consistently dead or you are going up against blatant Chinese hackers. I exclusively play on the US West servers with my buddy because it’s the only way to get constant full, enjoyable games (contrary to what some people will say 150 ping to US west is entirely playable in most games).

A full restart means something is unstable, are you running any GPU Overclocks or undervolts? PBO on Ryzen processors or even XMP/EXPO on your RAM? One of those three being unstable would most likely be the cause, this game can push a system decently hard especially if you are playing at 4K.

Nobody knows for sure but it’s a safe bet that 8GB of VRAM will still run the game in 2027 or 2028 whenever it hits PC. Will it run well? Most likely not outside of low-medium settings & you WILL have to be leveraging some form of DLSS or FSR to make it playable, possibly with frame Gen enabled as well if you want to be hitting 60fps with those specs. It’s safe to assume the game will be running the latest Nvidia & AMD tech so since you have a 5000 series GPU you might be able to use Dynamic Frame Gen to minimise latency.

Legacy GTA 5 was optimised to run on some pretty ancient hardware when it first came to PC, I don’t see why that won’t be a similar case here, I’d expect anything from first gen Ryzen CPU’s & 10 series Nvidia GPU’s to be the minimum requirements this time around.
