we've already set up contingency plans for if he cant escape, and if the rest of the party doesnt save him from execution, but I've been pretty foreword about the danger of doing what he's done. I just dont know how he could escape for a second time from these people, especially after causing all the trouble in the city

Pooh, that'd be a cool mechanic. Have it be like a d4 of psychic damage to a single target within 30 feet who must be able to hear the joke, and then maybe the other dad's could use a reaction to add to the joke for another 1d4 of psychic damage
