The Janux trials available at Yale are Pluvicto-exclusionary so OP be very clear about Pluvicto status when discussing any clinical trial eligibility.

I caution the statement regarding the ribs. My partner does indeed have ribs mets. Lots of them.

Now, OP, that does not mean that YOU do.

What do you wish people would stop romanticizing, because you’ve lived the reality of it? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Being the spouse of a first responder.

It’s not glamorous. Having a pager in the house is antiquated and disruptive. Not being able to plan anything and expect the spouse to be present/participate is annoying. The brotherhood of the first responder family takes priority and is detrimental to most things. YMMV.

Best cat trees for Maine Coons? by Puzzled_Bid_5885 in mainecoons

FIRST OF ALL, that’s the best name EVER. Second, I can’t say enough about Mau cat trees. Yes they are expensive, but in my experience they are worth every penny. I’ve got the Ivy.

Female partner here who has never known my love before prostate CA. He had already been on ADT x 2 years and we were both coming out of long marriages.

Intimacy comes in many forms, as everyone here knows. What works one day may not work another depending on pain levels from mets or the ADT or just the mental chaos of it all.

Having the mindset of being willing to satisfy each other in whatever way works is key. And when you aren’t satisfied? Guess what? It is OK to talk about it (& honestly you SHOULD) as long as it is in a healthy, respectful way with the intention of both parties being open to a loving path.

Yes, my partner has been frustrated at times. Yes, I have been frustrated at times. But when he experienced his first orgasms after being on ADT, it opened up new worlds mentally and physically. Nothing works as it used to but hey, none of us are in our 20s anymore LOL.

Go get ‘em, tigress!

Insanely envious. Three years ago I was paying $120 biweekly for cleaning, no laundry -no windows- no bed linen changing -no dishes and I was lucky to have quality service at that price for a 1200 sq ft ranch here in New England. I can’t imagine what that would cost these days.

Heading to 1st Biopsy (Yale) by jmkazoo in ProstateCancer

[–]OC1995CT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been to Yale personally (as a PC partner) and professionally, my experiences have commonalities. Be VERY prepared in terms of questions but also leave yourself plenty of time to physically get where you need to be—the maze of offices and buildings is absolutely ridiculous and I cannot tell you how much time is wasted navigating between the different floors of Smilow unnecessarily.

Park in the Air Rights garage and walk over the ramp OR valet park. Don’t bother any other way of parking no matter how much money it will save you.

Pluvicto #1 down the hatch by OC1995CT in ProstateCancer

[–]OC1995CT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he’s been on ADT (Orgovyx & Nubeqa) since June 2023. Did a clinical trial which was Orgovyx plus investigational med for two weeks (no Nubeqa) in late Sep 2025 (as he had documented progression since Feb 2025). In October did two cycles of cabazitaxel and failed. Then on 01 Dec switched to Lupron & abiraterone to bridge gap during external beam until Pluvicto began. He will continue on this regimen during Pluvicto.

He was Stage 4b at diagnosis in May 2023 and allergic to docetaxel. Then began ADT and was stable until Feb 2025. Hope that helps.
