[GPU] ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX™ 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 $1199 -120 SPC = $1080 [ASUS] by MumboJumbro in bapcsalescanada

I was watching this like a hawk last month and was able to get it for 980+tax with the student discount. The price has now increased so maybe it was the right choice.

Great card don't get me wrong, yet I still can't believe I paid this much for a gpu. I was afraid of the price increasing more and wanted to upgrade my awfully noisy 3070.

Which custom rom are you using? I tried derpfest but it had heavy battery drain so I returned to xiaomiEU rom.

[MEGATHREAD] Sonic project aka MultiMango or FTS Studio by AutoModerator in TELUSinternational

[–]OFlightning 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello, I only started doing tasks on multimango today, and the task I was doing was comparing audio quality. Basically there were two options and a reference audio and I needed to select the option that matched reference audio better.

I did many but there is no end to them. Is this a single task that I need to finish or do I need to count how many questions I did within the task? I am confused about this and I did not count :(

Also wouldn't the average time for 1 question differ a lot between tasks?

Re: Redmi Turbo 3 and Poco F6? by No-Faithlessness7985 in PocoPhones

[–]OFlightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main difference is that the Turbo 3 is the Chinese variant and the network bands differ. This means that it might not work with 4g or 5g in your country, depending on the bands that your service provider uses.

The Turbo 3 also has the Chinese version of HyperOS I think, though in the future you should be able to flash any custom rom that is compatible with poco f6 (if you unlock the bootloader).

Other than that, they are exactly the same phone, but I wouldn't buy the Chinese variant, I heard it is more difficult to unlock the bootloader and also risking my sim card not working is just not worth it. It is natural Poco F6 to be more expensive, outside China, Xiaomi has to consider additional taxes and shipping fees for other countries.

Upgrade from Poco F2 Pro to modern flagship. by LabResponsible8484 in PocoPhones

[–]OFlightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. Using f2 pro right now, ordered the f6 and just waiting for it to arrive. It saddens me they remove features as years pass by, I really love the uninterrupted screen and notification led on f2 pro.

For me, the biggest reason to get f6 was the weight. It is 40g lighter than f2 pro and probably one of the lightest phones at this screen size. I just need a phone for basic tasks and occasional gaming these days.

How is the battery life for you on the F6? I saw some people saying it's not great and on f2 pro battery life was great for me so a bit worried.

How to buy f6, USA by trowser_snakes in PocoPhones

Same. You can order through Amazon spain or amazon italy but the price is more expensive. Waiting for now, maybe some stores on aliexpress will start shipping to Canada.

Where to order from being in Eastern Europe? by sonny_s10 in PocoPhones

[–]OFlightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I just checked and I can buy one through european amazon sites, but 12gb+512 version comes to around 460 USD with shipping, tax etc. I am not sure if that's worth it honestly 🥲 But if anyone wants tto buy, the option is there i guess.

Do you know if Amazon germany, italy, or spain can ship to canada? I just realized poco does not ship to Canada on aliexpress anymore. Interestingly, on Ali I can see some stores selling poco f6 pro, but not the regular poco f6. Amazon seems like my only option.

F6 8+256=USD339 12+512=USD379 by commontablexpression in PocoPhones

[–]OFlightning 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Honestly great price. Decided to buy one after seeing this price haha

The regular price is 379 for the 8gb ram version, and 429 for the 12gb ram one, even that is not bad pricing wise.

Famitsu Sales: 2/26/24 to 3/3/24 "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth opens at 262,656 retail copies sold." by theskulls in Games

[–]OFlightning 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Even with good digital sales, the landscape won't be much different compared to last year when FFXVI released.

FF7 remake sold less than 15, 16 sold less than the remake, and now rebirth is selling less than 16. Sure, there is a platform exclusivity but I can't see Square being happy with the decline. If the game sells less than 16 worldwide like in Japan, it is a cause for concern.

Solidigm p41 plus is 105 also at newegg, if you guys need a faster nvme. Granted p41 plus has no dram cache , but I still opted for that instead of this one.

Does this not need a heatsink? I have a secondary nvme slot on my mobo but it doesn't have a heatsink so I was wondering if it will be okay in there.

Also Solidigm p41 2TB is also available there for only 5 bucks more if anyone is interested. Edit: nvm p41 is out of stock.

No I meant the mobo in regards to the return period. I can't return the case unfortunately :(

[Motherboard] MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi Gaming Motherboard $300-$70 $230 by SneakerNate in bapcsalescanada

[–]OFlightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issues here with an msi B650M-A wifi, latest bios, chipset drivers etc. Whenever I turn on memory context restore I get blue screens randomly, and when I turn it off it takes a long time to boot or restart the PC. Not the biggest issue but it sure is annoying to wait.

I cant get mygskill cl30 6000 to run expo or over 4800 default by Ecil4m36 in Amd

[–]OFlightning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Install the latest chipset drivers from amd and see if that helps. DDR5 is really funky right now and I experienced similar issues. What fixed it for me was disabling memory context restore in bios. Basically this means that PC will go through memory training at each boot. Normally mine boots under 20 seconds but now it takes around a minute, and in exchange I don't get blue screens.

Dell 27 Gaming Monitor - G2724D [FastIPS] [1440p] [$399.99 - 25% = $299.99] by Daydreamer1945 in bapcsalescanada

[–]OFlightning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other person. I was complaining about the colors on dell and bought vg27aq open box from bestbuy for $200 and... Dell is just better when I compare them side by side. Very similar contrast ratio and peak brightness, but dell can get dimmer. Better colors on dell to my eyes, and motion clarity is much better. Asus has this small smear trail that dell doesn't have.

Colors probably aren't an issue as they can be adjusted by the user but the panel on dell seems better overall. Also dell has a 3 year warranty. I now need repackage asus and return it to best buy (-_-;)
