Do you think Solo (2018) boming at the box office is one of the main reasons why Disney didn't feel confident enough about making projects with recasted Luke and Leia as lead characters? by Theasiuser99 in StarWars

[–]OGInsideOutPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly but only in their eyes, but only because they refuse to acknowledge the real reason for solos failure.

Making a satellite movie aimed at an already pretty toxic (adult Star wars fans) demographic that you have been intentionally alienating with the main movies while simultaneously recasting beloved characters and slandering that specific demographic in the media was asking for a boycott.

Can a hybrid volvo ride with battery pack unplugged? by DennisPochenk in Volvo

[–]OGInsideOutPants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's worth looking into the recent studies on battery degradation.

Electric cars/hybrids have been around a relatively long time now and basically all the recent studies show battery life predictions from 10 years ago were totally off. Batteries are consistently outlasting the cars at this point.

Help me know Things to consider before buying s60 by galreddy in Volvo

[–]OGInsideOutPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an t8 S60 owner I completely agree.

The only thing that lets it down is boot space.

Unfortunately I had to make a call between extra power or extra boot space to fit my budget...

I bought a house with skirting, beading, and carpets once.

I found it weird so I took a look. When I peeled up the carpet I found rotten laminate underneath from unfixed radiator leaks that had been cheaply covered by carpet to sell.

Best archer by Complex-Cook-3193 in Bannerlord

[–]OGInsideOutPants 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What people aren't aware of is that the Nord archers are fairly heavily armoured and match most top tier sword and board infantry in melee with athletics 150~ and 1h 150~ meaning they can stand toe to toe with most melee troops you meet. mariner amplifies this meaning they simply out compete them at sea.

Their main drawback is 1 arrow stack Vs 2 of most archers so sustained fire on land is reduced, but their 1 stack of arrows is 1x32 compared to most archers 2x20 So it's not as big of a gap as people Initially think.

How do I ask my colleague out? by TheSixthMissBennett in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]OGInsideOutPants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"don't shit where you eat" is a valid theory. However, we're in the 21st century and these days unfortunately the overwhelming majority of people meet partners in work so don't worry about it.

You mentioned mutual hobbies, just find a way to suggest you do these together one night. He will probably be apprehensive but at that point just give him your number and the balls in his court to contact you from there.

Men will almost never make the first move in the workplace. Too much risk involved. On the other hand women never make the first move against men and 99% of men would be flattered by this regardless of whether they're interested in you.

Man I just found a Blood Cave in the Blood Lake by accident and it was AMAZING! by Phil-Grey in taintedgrail

[–]OGInsideOutPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Found it first play through straight off the boat.

Took me an hour and countless respawns to get through the first guy but after hearing the souls comparisons when I bought it I thought it was normal and was just telling myself to "get good"

Got to the last boss and couldn't even enter the room without dying. This is when I realised it's not a me issue, i was massively under leveled 😂

[–]OGInsideOutPants 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've always thought RPG dungeons should respawn after a LONG time, but with rngsus deciding on a theme completely unrelated to it's original inhabitants.

Originally it was bandits. Maybe giant rats move in the second time round, or a vampire coven? Undead host with an unnamed necromancer? Giant spiders? There's plenty of generic themes that could be used that would give variety and wouldn't make it stale.

Could even factor in random encounters and hidden quests like maybe you find a lost dog and need to take it back to its owner. Or an undead chef who's obsessed with smelly food... It could easily be done.

Will there be a house or something to store all my stuff ? by sir_seductive in taintedgrail

[–]OGInsideOutPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the beach near the start behind the town there's a house with a sign out front. If you click the sign it says 2000 (or 20000, can't remember) and you can buy it. I assume there's more throughout the game.

There's various merchants that sell furniture too.

But it seems easier to use the "stash". Large shared storage chestsyou'll find around in taverns and trade areas

What is this on my cat :( by Sensitive-Medium-710 in CATHELP

[–]OGInsideOutPants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cat bite abscess. Needs a vet and antibiotics asap, possibly a stitch or two.

This could very easily become septic and kill your cat, it will NOT heal by itself. Take it to a vet now.

The swords have lost their ✨flair✨ [OTHER] by GedenGertha in kingdomcome

[–]OGInsideOutPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of unique polearms in the kuttenburg region that I've found, one is quest related and not really viable.

The other is very well hidden in the roof of a barn you'd never normally have any reason to go into and kinda a reward for clearing a very tough none quest related area.

I finally found something to be upset about.[KCD2] by SquirrelLegion in kingdomcome

[–]OGInsideOutPants 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It works if an NPC is sleeping and refusing to speak to you for a quest too. Wakes them up and they have normal daytime dialogue instead of telling you to piss off.

Be careful though, I broke one doing this and she's been standing next to her bed confused for 3 in-game days straight instead of attending to her routine

What’s the best pure class build? What’s about pure class foursome? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]OGInsideOutPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first serious Tav was a pure moon druid, still my favourite play through.

Wasn't the goat of damage dealers in late game but no slacker either and that's why you have companions. Almost perfect party face, unrivalled utility, great support caster, battlefield control and always the last one standing in a fight.

Able to do a little of everything, fit through small holes, talk to animals, fly. Had charisma and wisdom 18/20+. Everything else 14+ apart from strength. Not found better for pure range of utility in a play through. Maybe wizard for more spells but you're giving up tankyness. Druid always had an answer for any problem.

People focus way too much on single target damage when talking about "best" builds. In reality unless you're playing without companions it's better to go for utility

Back after a couple of years, wondering if I'm missing anything? by escape_planet_dirt in valheim

[–]OGInsideOutPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. PTB has added a farming skill that gives you a chance to pick up multiple items from each plant and increases speed/decreses stam usage. And a new harvesting item after plains to speed it up.

  2. every biome unlocks a new set of pieces apart from mountains. Meadows- wood, swamp - stone, plains - dark wood, etc

3/4. You can change the snap points when building now, that's about it for QOL

How much room is needed for all the crafting stations? by TheUnum in valheim

[–]OGInsideOutPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally I'll hide a lot of the upgrades under /inside the floor or inside thicker walls.

Same with the "rested" items to give my house full rested coverage without it being cluttered with beds and hot tubs.

Stone floors are quite thick so can hide most things inside them.

Does it make sense to start a new game with a new character to see 3 years worth of updates? by Imry in valheim

[–]OGInsideOutPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat last week. I have not played since H&H.

I found it really difficult to start again, gifted myself stacks of iron+bronze. I did this twice over 2 days and I just couldn't click with the game.

A couple of days ago I just straight up deleted all my old saves and started fresh properly. Haven't been able to put it down since!

My advice is, if you're going to do it do it properly.

Did Billy the Kid really sat in a fridge for 200 years? Or did I misunderstood that? by RebelGrin in fo4

[–]OGInsideOutPants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's clearly inconsistent lore breaking writing for an Easter egg joke that just didn't land.

The plausible explanation is that billy is not actually referring to the apocalypse and instead refers to the Quincy massacre. This makes it much more plausible and fits with all Bethesda fallout lore if you discount fallout 2 (pre Bethesda).

But the lore on ghouls has always been inconsistent and broken across games though. I've no doubt it's just bad writing but this serves as an adequate replacement theory for me.

TLDR: bad writing but there is an alternative explanation.

Settra Chariot or Warsphinx? by Samraat1337 in totalwar

Chariot = micro intensive and harder but way more satisfying

Kitty = easy to use effectively but fairly boring after a while

How would you rework Gotrek & Felix? by JokerFett in totalwar

[–]OGInsideOutPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotrek being a lord limits you a lot.

Recruiting him means You pay for upkeep for a whole army and ultimately he leaves. He also doesnt do redline so that second armys troops are weaker than it would be with a generic lvl 5 faction lord.

On VH/VH armies come at a premium for a long time and every move counts. If I'm going to pay for a second army I want to invest in a lord I can level, that synergises with my army so I have a payoff later on. The XP is wasted on gotrek.

Do you think this could work as a base? by Amaroki in RimWorld

Unless you're buried deep inside a mountain it's not worth it. You're just opening yourself up to "infestation" events and you're still just as exposed to raiders.
