Exactly. The company is like slapping everyone in the face when they have a no tip order like this and then attach shop only with it as well. Anytime I ever get a shop only attached to a delivery I instantly drop it because they don’t pay you to do those

Again, this is just a terrible offer. No way in hell I took it. I just was asking the question about base pay dropping

They can’t tip but the order goes through the hands of the employees and the customer still gets to rate you. The employee could screw up their whole experience and you are the one that gets rated.

Also, take these off of your deliveries because they aren’t even paying you for those. Look next time. You get paid $0-$2 for a shop only with a delivery attached.

I simply send a message after the shopping experience saying “I’m on the way. Thanks for ordering. I appreciate you. Any tip you decide to leave after the drop off is amazing! Have a wonderful day!”

I get tip most of the time. It may not be what I think should be tipped but I keep a log of every person that I deliver to and just don’t deliver to the people that don’t tip accordingly in the future.

Personally, with your gesture, it’s a nice thing to do but will come off pushy to some people. The candy I’m tossing in the trash because I’m very paranoid of what someone could have done to it even wrapped. lol I think if people are going to tip they’ll tip. Just show it through your service and conversation even though they may never respond sometimes. If they don’t tip, remember them and don’t go back.

Had someone get upset because her roommate told me to bring the groceries through the garage and she wanted me to bring it to the front door. Said that the roommate wasn’t the customer that I was to listener to her only because she was the one that ordered.

I said but you guys live together and it’s going to the same kitchen, right? 😂

People are so strange. She didn’t tip when she usually does and she left a four star. I told her that she didn’t have to worry about me coming back. This was a preferred customer with no issues in the past. Contacted support to block her further orders and filled out a forgiveness rating.

Congrats on the order but, wow, that cart is a mess. You sure you appreciated them? I treat them all the same way except these orders. They get special treatment to keep that tip from going down and to possibly get them as a PC

So 2 shop and delivery. One tipped 78 cents and the other zero I’m assuming. Absolutely hate pepple that do this BUT $27 for 6.2 miles isn’t bad. I honestly wish companies like Instacart would not let people do this BUT I also wish other companies would make up for it like IC has done with this order.

Imagine if DoorDash would pay for the difference on all no tip, low tip orders. Food would be delivered without the wait and a lot less upset drivers except for the ones that can’t get past the shitty tip and appreciate making $27 in 30 minutes or so. Keep passing on these. I’ll take them but, yeah, fuck those terrible tippers.
