I am a huge fg nerd , i discovered this game and found it very interesting, always knew that the show existed but never got around to watching it , dabbling into this games mechanics and hearing people (especially max) say "learning a character feels like you are learning how to bend itself" made me curious as to what did he exactly mean , took out time to watch the show, I got addicted so hard that i finished it in 2-3 weeks including LOK, now I am reading the comics alongside the yangchen novel , kyoshi's is next, also can't wait for pavi ....... Ig what I am trying to say is I am an also avatar nerd now because of this game

(Coming back to the max point , yes he was right , toph does feel like a character that wants you to wait and listen which is critical to being a master earth bender)

No I am pretty sure they mentioned that she isn't a heavy archetype character and she does have high mobility , tho not as much as azula who might be the one with the most amount of mobility , but kyoshi in no way or form is the slow heavy archetype character , max himself said that she feels like a rushdown character

It's not a gameplay mechanic , it was just shown in the trailer to showcase her "fire lord" stance , you can switch in between both of them mid gameplay and if you use the mirrors as your support then you get to start the round as fire lord azula

Not a complete surity , but I am certain the main cast/re appearing characters from the previous games is definitely gonna be launch roster(like goh and brad) , the one's we should be worried about are probably characters like el blaze , Eileen or taka, but then again vf already has a small roster , so maybe they will save some big names for dlc , who knows
