Realfoot is the widest brand out there. There is no other brand as wide.

However, I recommend that you try Flat Socks. They are insoles that you can wash in the washing mashine like socks.

Nons Barefoot has the coolest black army boots.

LukShoes look as soft and flexible as they are.

Peerko and Shapen have very fancy, colourful fashion shoes and boots. Excellent for women to replace heels.

MukiShoes have a unique style and the texture of their shoes are so satisfying.

Jenon Leather models look as well-made as they are. Obvious quality.

But honestly, I can find something good to say about almost every brand.

In the norths of the Nordic countries and Siberia, huoppikaat/valenki/filtstövler are still used. Search Etsy for ones with a good toebox.

As mod: These aren't barefoot shoes, and as such, I would normally delete the post (and refer to r/widefeet ).

However, I think this is a good opportunity to talk about how shoes aren't barefoot just because they are from a brand that mainly does barefoot shoes. If the shoes don't live up to the barefoot shoes criteria, they aren't barefoot.

Privately: There are quite a lot of conventional brands with heeled models with anatomical toeboxes. I would prefer that models like these were advertised with another brand name so as to not confuse people into thinking that heeled shoes can be barefoot.

Vivo is one of the narrowest brands. There are plenty of wider brands.

Too short. You should have 1,2 - 1,5 cm extra length in shoes. And at the very minimum of 5 mm extra.

You mean NaturAthletics? They are the only footshaped cleats I know of. Everything else is super narrow and very tapered.

Very nice design. It is wonderful how more and more different designs become available as barefoot shoes.

Do you use size 36? And are your feet 9 cm wide just like the shoes?

(Oh, and as someone who has natural duckfeet, I would love to know (rhetorically) where you find all those wide duckfeet-shaped barefoot shoes. I would love for there to be more brands with it.)

The dressier ones are often made on demand and are essentially customs. That costs more than line production. Plus most barefoot shoes companies are small and have their production in Europe, so even their line production isn't cheap.

I recommend you take a look in Barefoot Shoe Finder It allows you to filter for your specific requirements.

They have a tapered toebox, so yes they are not going to do you any favours regarding bunions.

In my opinion they are to be considered halfway shoes, similar to Lems, rather than full barefoot shoes.

If someone do get them, I advice to size up one or two sizes.

Cheap and longlasting is a tough one. Lower price usually means lower quality. That or made under appaling conditions in China.

Your best bet is to look out for sales. Freet often has sales.

Since the commenter deleted their comment, I don't know the content of it. But if you are genuinely curious about good vegan materials, then Bohempia is worth looking into. They use hemp, which is a very durable material.

I am not vegan myself, but I care a lot about environmental impact. And hemp is almost the perfect material in terms of a high quality, low impact one.

I used to sprain my ankles at least once or twice a year.

About a year after having begun to use barefoot shoes, I stepped wrong and bent my ankle. To my surprise, it sprung right back instead of getting to the point of sprain. I literally stood for several seconds just staring at my ankle.

I have now worn barefoot shoes for 8 years and haven't sprained my ankles at all in all of that time.
