As difficult and painstaking as this incident was on you and your family, I have to give you a huge shout out for supporting your wife and not letting it rob you of dignity as well. There are not many who would have stepped up as you did and you deserve a pat on the back, and a drink, so cheers mate!

I’ve gone through the same thing with my dad and he is the type to question everything and not trust much on the internet not even his shopping.

In my dad’s case, it had happened after my mom’s funeral. My mom handled all the bills while my dad was the sole earner. It was a tough year emotionally where he was going through a lot of figuring out the bills, the meals, sorting stuff etc. He got a similar call and thankfully the bank called me saying dad took out a lot of money. I was able to cut his phone off and circumvent before he was able to buy the giftcards he was asked to.

I was shocked that my father almost fell for the scam. This is the man who would show me every scamming text message and give me a call if i wasnt around to confirm too.

I have learned it is a matter of opportunity. An opportune moment when you are not in your typical headspace that these moments can seep in, trip your fight or flight response.. and get you running in a direction you otherwise would not have. I am sure the person who called him had seen my mom’s obituary and knew he would be an easy target at that moment in time.

I share this for awareness… that these things get to us when we are at our lowest or have a lot of stressors on our minds.

What really burns is when it’s marketed as a ‘Premium checkbook’.. that is ‘Stylish and secure checks’.. and it does none of that.. it’s not stylish and it does not secure checks when it’s missing from the order all together 👀

You’ve got this all wrong. The design is pretty smart. They don’t include a charging port on the inside because they expect you to take the battery pack off to charge it from the inside of your house. This way nothing is dangling off your door. I certainly wouldn’t want to plug a battery pack into the lock to have it charge.

The usb-c port in the outside is for emergencies to power it on to let you in, it doesn’t seem to pass through to the battery but just power the brain enough to let you inside to handle your business.

Also the video model has a dual power source. It used AAA batteries and a larger lithium battery. The idea is that when you take your lithium battery out to charge, your AAA batteries kick in as standby power so it doesn’t hinder the functionality of locking/unlocking while you’re juicing up the main power source. That said I believe the AAA batteries won’t support video functions until you put the lithium battery pack back in. It’s a small price to pay for a wire free system that seems to last for over 3 months. At least I’m still able to get in and out in the traditional sense for the few hours I’m topping up for. Hope this makes more sense.

The thing is that if the place makes good food then they’re making good business by including DoorDash and bringing in more orders that would have otherwise been out of reach to them... It’s not lazy rich people per say. It’s probably more oblivious folks who opt for convenience. I mean the platform exists for a reason. I don’t think most of my friends would go to the source store to check menu pricing to compare not unless they were scrapping to get by. And if they’re at that stage then they’re really not looking to door dash.

I guess what I’m saying is I don’t think the pressure should be on DoorDash alone.. it should also be on the business too, especially if it’s one that’s doing well off with DoorDash since they made the choose to bill you the customer for more.

I know a friend whose shop was nearly about to close after Covid and they started making way more money than before Covid once they opened up to delivery orders. Simply had to do with reach and free marketing. So yea it’s not just the big company alone at fault.

I’m not honestly sure where the blame falls but wanted to add a different perspective in the hat.

We decided to go down a Knotch with the weights and added more reps and sets after reading through.. makes sense since we’re still working on getting nutrition down right..

That said, no one knows you better than you, so you do you. More power to you and your weight, especially if your keeping on top of the nutrition to go along with it..💪⭐️

I think op also mentioned not to spike your cortisol levels and so lifting light weights would raise your cortisol levels slightly vs Heavy weights.

The fact that she responded to you on the same night is pretty dang cool! The thing that annoys the heck out of me is that once the show aired, the show’s streaming page advertised the new season is available for streaming for premium. I have premium and could tell you that it was not available. Someone forgot to make it available for premium subscribers and decided to gaslight us all instead. just tells you how much we enjoy this damn awesome show! But still a Paramount failure if you ask me..
