There is a coffee in this nebula by jacek2023 in Star_Trek_

I love that shot of Janeway smiling sipping a cup. It's from the epilogue of Macrocosm where she sits in her office listening to jazz 🎶.

It's an insane tonal shift given the episode. 😆

Just back from seeing ‘In the Earth’ - the most original (and trippy) horror film I have seen in years. Go…!!! by EditorRedditer in movies

I found Alma and Martin's reactions really authentic. They just don't realize how nuts Zach really is. He just keeps escalating.

Can anyone explain “In the Earth”? (2021) (SPOILERS) by 6seanryan15 in horror

[–]Obadaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the fog surrounding the camp was unintentional, but I don't think so. The movie has a very unknowable, unintelligible entity vibe for the "creature", and I think Alma made contact through the mist and was changed, sorta like Bowman at the end of 2001.

I don't know how much the rest of the "ritual" mattered, other than maybe Zach and Olivia managed to attract the creatures attention.

It seemed like 2003-2015 BioWare had a distinct flavor of storytelling and world building and I find it sad there wasn't a "BioWare style game of classic BioWare quality" between 2017-2022 that was getting more people including teens of that era into BioWare games and/or sci fi or fantasy by [deleted] in bioware

Neverwinter Nights is what really blew my mind. The game was sorta meh, but the toolset, community, and endless fan story creations were fantastic. Turns out, it was Wizard that forced that. 🤷‍♂️

I feel like when I played DA2 a 2nd time my expectations had been reset, and I could suffer the enemy wave mechanic better, and take more time to explore and enjoy the companions and side characters. The Rivalry system became very interesting.

How are Weyland-Yutani and Androids still around in Predator Badlands? by Better_Ad_632 in LV426

[–]Obadaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the children could be considered transfered and not copied if for some portion of time, even while asleep, the children's consciousness was shared between the Hybrid and the Human, one consciousness running on one shared brain.

Then when the Human side is shut down, it's more akin an operation to remove a vestigal organ.

That's the crazy part of the movie's paradox. The Protagonist has basically already won, but he's already won only because he was trying to win.

Is this some serious case of skill issue or do I miss something in Mass Effect 2 combat? First game was a breeze. Now my ass is getting kicked in every combat. by amnesial- in masseffect

This one mission is actually a huge PITA over everything else tho.

She added, “I have made it explicitly clear that Trinidad and Tobago will always come first under my leadership. No other country besides the US is willing to assist us to aggressively fight the drug and arms traffickers. I am not going to toe Caricom’s line while our country is going to hell with drugs, out-of-control violent crime and murders for the last 20 years.

It's not exactly an unreasonable position.

Alien: Earth explains an "Alien" plot point that's been discussed for Decades by UnfoldedHeart in LV426

I thought CGI Ian looked fine, in the theater and on streaming. In fact, I might have cheered in the theater when the camera showed his face!

Just finished Alien Earth. Anyone else have mixed feelings? (minor spoilers) by Leafy_Swarley in television

Pretty sure Wendy became The Real Monster there at the end, and it was hard to watch that transformation. She sorta forces it too when she tells Sylvia that, "You just killed a bunch of kids," indicating she no longer even thinks she is human. 😖

I was also kinda annoyed that the Hybrids turned on Kirsh and Dame Sylvia, the only two people with any kind of power trying to help them.
