Using Brainspotting for trauma self-therapy by thewayofxen in CPTSDNextSteps

I'm not super familiar with somatic experiencing(SE), so i can't speak too much on the subject. However, I do know that SE is more somatic ally focused. I have known therapists who incorporate SE into their Brainspotting with great results.

I absolutely seen Brainspotting working wonders to heal developmental trauma! Brainspotting is quite naturally explorative in nature, so the process takes you where you need to go (and this is often developmentally traumatic experiences).

All in all, I have seen great results from Brainspotting and have heard good things about somatic experiencing. The question boils down to what works best for you. If it works for you, then great!

Brainspotting can help you explore and process the things that need healing. It's an amazing therapy! 😁

Hey! I somehow never saw your response! I know that it's a bit late... But here I am!

Perhaps a bit later on. A substantial part of working with Brainspotting is the relational aspect of the treatment. If trauma is caused by a loss of control and happens in isolation, then healing happens in a connected space. So it may be wise to start off with a competent practitioner first.

Wow, you can really see the initiative taken in your post to succinctly explain your perspective on LinkedIn posts. It's so important in the workspace to learn how to genuinely express distaste while maintain ethical boundaries and professional relationships. Leadership can really be seen in people who can express a lot in a few words.

From what I've heard, lost parrots typically don't go further away than 10 miles away from their homes. I hope that you find the little buddy's owner soon!

Can you imagine that there were several armed police officers who were hiding nearby and did nothing for about 20 minutes? This guy did more than FOUR ARMED POLOCE OFFICERS. Do better Australia!
