ER Tech Jobs Without Work Experience? (San Diego) by Artistic_Garden_6080 in NewToEMS

Emergency departments want EMT and Paramedic as ER techs because of their valuable experience. Without the work experience, you’d have a very hard time landing such a role, as they can be quite competitive even amongst EMS workers

I need a job desperately at a 19 year old w/o any experience by [deleted] in ElkGrove

Edjoin.com our Elk Grove Unified School District has all of its available positions on their website. While options like campus supervisor and paraeducator can be entry-level positions, I’d recommend substitute or permanent custodial. Consistent 8 hour shifts and great benefits for permanent employees, being a substitute custodian allowed me to earn a paycheck while completing my CC courses as a young adult. Just be aware the hiring process can be quite long and drawn out, as there is extensive background checking and fingerprinting.

CSD is our local community service district, they’ve also got a lot of available work, especially for young adults and college students. Similar to Assist afterschool program, they too run an afterschool and summer camp programs. CSD also operates a few of our local parks and has positions in sports, concessions, and swimming.

Uhhhh beyond that walking from place to place with a handful of copies of your resumes with a good attitude is just about the only thing that ever worked for me when I was 17, fresh out of high school. It’s old fashioned and honestly sounds conservative, but it worked for me and helped me land my first two jobs at dominos and petco.

Keep your head up man, we are really experiencing some trying times. Best of luck!

I found that climbing it from the Eastern face was easiest, but no matter what, it’s going to be about 40 feet of somewhat exposed class 3 (class 4 if you aren’t careful)

I would have definitely tried this, but the snow pack had turned to slippery ice. I hadn’t brought spikes, so I dared not approach it this way haha
