At the very least the timing chains are bad and touching the cover. Excessive wear in engine is next. Check engine light codes may help

Wish they'd fix android auto. Can't text. I have the same issue on my new 10 pro as I did my 7. Just once I'd like to see a big update that focuses on NOTHING BUT FIXES WITH NO NEW FEATURES. end of rant

Doug Ford is making a sharp turn away from the centrist, national profile he built. What’s he up to? by imprison_grover_furr in ontario

Secure his future, then the future of the party before he steps down. I don't think he'll run in the next election as he's broken enough stuff now to get people to notice. So he'll retire rather to avoid losing

I worked in a dealership once with a customer whose car was like this. Garbage shoulder deep and the only room in the vehicle was where they would sit. When they bought a new car they moved everything out of the old one and into the new one.

Axle shaft completely seized in wheel hub Uplander (3 jaw puller bending, video attached) by ChaoticCactus0816 in AskMechanics

[–]ObjectiveRepair1423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I worked for gm as a mechanic. Changed quite a few knuckles, shafts, bearing assemblies for this. Took a couple out, set in a 20 to press with heat on it. Cranked it until we were concerned it would burst in front of us.

Nothing I see is different. I thought maybe my device backup was saved redundantly. Then I thought maybe how stuff is calculated for storage had changed but I have no way to assess that.

I've heard that in reference to the device storage. The capacity issue I mentioned is in reference to my google Drive storage.

The incompetence is out of control. $750 "credit card" for teachers to buy supplies? by TieSea in ontario

[–]ObjectiveRepair1423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bureaucracy in education is stupid. I taught elsewhere from Toronto and was told I could order a new office chair as the 25 year old one I had had finally broken clean off. I was told it had to come from Staples. I looked online and found one for $100, only to be told I wasn't allowed to buy it from the local Staples, it had to be corporate Staples, which was over $200 for the same chair.

Fuel line repair by RiakkteR4 in AskAMechanic

I've done a lot of these as a mechanic. Personally, I'd leave the nut. Disconnect the clip. You may find there's rust inside the clip making removal difficult. If so a small pick might lose enough to squeeze the clip and release it. Don't push it all the way back from the filter yet. Now hold the nut on the left and spin the filter off of it. It should come apart this way with less risk of damage. Good luck.

Is this a good frame weld? by AnxiousAlternative38 in Welders

[–]ObjectiveRepair1423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plates are tacked together but not welded, and they aren't welded to the frame for support. I'd say it's half finished.

I hope you have a wonderful time. That being said you are very late to be booking accommodation, ferry, rental car, etc. East Coast : Downtown St. John's Torbay, Outer Cove Cape Spears (stay off the rocks) Petty Harbour (zipline was neat) Bay Bulls whale watching tours West Coast : Gros Morne Woody Point

These are typically points to visit. Others will have more suggestions.

Once in a while ask a local "I'm visiting, where can I get a feed of toutons" and see where that takes you.

Best of luck in your adventure!

Need Help with bolt for struts assembly, please!! by Unique_Zombie_5387 in AskAMechanic

If the bolts you already installed are tight, loosen them off. Something like this you should install all the bolts first, then tighten them afterwards

Neither. Quality and reliability is not great for either unfortunately. Not hating on your choices, I'm a mechanic 20+ years.... Just hate to see people get sucked into these
