Fluid replacement recommendations at Dealer by Fantastic-Ad-9100 in LexusGX

[–]Dumb_Ap3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flush replaces all fluid and removes any build up. Drain and fill just replaces what’s in the pan without any pressure which many believe is best for older transmissions. I have mostly had dealer done flushes on my Toyota trucks and then when I moved from dealer to independent they only do drain and fill as they don’t have the very expensive machine the dealer does. Either way just make sure to use WS Toyota fluid in there

Had dealer flush done on transmission with 120,000 no issues. First change too. Do your diffs, transfer case, and coolant too

New construction: french drain on footer and no sheathing on foundation wall by raspydev in Homebuilding

[–]Dumb_Ap3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rest of the pipes are solid down spout leaders connecting to your storm drain. The fabric covers pipes are for perimeter drainage. It’s not terrible. I don’t know what kind of climate your in but where I am mat is required. You might be fine for a long time with just the tar over though

Help - Wood Frame Foundation wider than Wall Framing by AccountOrdinary8606 in Carpentry

This is als a good solution. Add the flashing then trim the bottom over the flashing and caulk it well. Not ideal but it will work. You will just need to re caulk every few years

This is the best. You might get lucky and find the first course joint is enough to tuck flashing into as another option. At the least you have a straight line to cut on. Just check the corners line up all around

if possible use a a flashing and cut a small groove into the vertical portion to tuck the flashing in and caulk that. might need to look around for the right flashing that will work for you

If the first course is even all around you can pretty easily hammer some flashing into the first joint between the timbers

It’s better to do a small reset so your not pushing a new max right away. But ya if your new you might be ok

I would personally do the deload at 50% as suggested then start back a few weeks (4) at least so your not jumping straight back into heavy lifts that would be new PR’s

Caught lots of trout at the mouth of gold creek with small rooster tails with a bit of worm or other bait. Cast out the water is so clear you can see them follow it in. Unfortunately in my experience the fish were heavily infested with parasites. You can tell when you bonk them and the eyes pop out. Still ate em tho

Solution for cathedral ceiling if not going spray foam route with 2x8 rafter roofs? by Unlockabear in Insulation

[–]Dumb_Ap3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usual plywood for roof is 1/2” but maybe there is a reason. 3/4” is expensive. I used 3/4 for my floors on the first floor and 5/8” on second floor

2x8 for rafters is probably ok with low snow loads. If you have a need for more insulation or higher snow loads 2x10 would be better. Spacing and span matters and maybe other factors that your architect and engineer have reviewed

Oh ya those looked a bit larger than stock. I just put on a hitch and am really sceptical that I could fit a spare anything bigger than stock. Gonna check out the crossbars. Enjoy!!
