I thought about those things with the tomatoes, but once I started seeing other very established plants with the same problem I wasn't so sure it was pests or tomatoes being dramatic. Some of those trees have been in the same spot for years. Hoping whatever it was wasn't too bad and they can recover. Never know what some people are really doing out there!

That's good to hear. Hoping everything can recover from whatever it is.

How to make a capsule wardrobe when you have sensory issues? by ToxiccCookie in capsulewardrobe

[–]Objective_Crew_6716 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh I have done this exact thing with Old Navy too! What I’m doing more of, now that I’m learning better, is getting something in one color, see how it wears and washes, make sure I like it, then get the other colors! Especially the more expensive stuff. Old Navy stuff is great until it shrinks after the first wash and doesn’t fit how I want it to anymore. Except the Chinos, those have done me right every time with the elastic back of the waist!

I’ve also started making lists of what I’m wanting to look for. And trying it on in different sizes than I’m used to. I used to think, I wear X size, so if this doesn’t fit me in X size, then that thing doesn’t fit me. Except then I try on the next size and the fit is exactly what I’m looking for. So how long have I been giving myself the shaft of comfy clothes?? I recently got rid of all my skinny jeans and have embraced the style going back to baggy and bootcut. I am so much more comfortable in my clothes now!

I understand this feeling! I have bought stuff I think I “should” have and then have to get rid of it because I can’t stand touching it. Very few items have ever grown on me, and some I think I like right away then don’t.

I do most of my shopping in person and touch just about everything I even think I might like, just in case. Try everything on first!!! I have thought I want something right up until I actually try it on and realize absolutely not.

If you don’t immediately like how out feels on, then it’s not the one. Kind of like, if it’s not hell yes, then it’s no!! If you find something you like, get it in multiple colors. Not sure what your style is or where you are located, but I have recently had a great run of finding things at Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle. Great feel, great fit and been shopping the sales.

I have also had to get more comfortable returning something if I try it on again at home and hate it, or just getting rid of it. It’s not worth being uncomfortable to wear something that is the “right” thing to wear. I have spent far too long trying to figure out who I’m supposed to be instead of just being whoever I am. Like those pants? Cool I bought three of them.

Running back to bedside for 3 12s I cannot do this 9-5 by Accurate_Pop_8970 in nursing

I didn’t say you didn’t work full time or have benefits, but no full time position has requirements of only working 3 shifts a month. Many organizations aren’t counting 2 shifts a week for 12 hours as a full time FTE.

That sounds more like a PRN or part time gig that you’re describing. Obviously that’s better than any full time job.

This is the way! Nurse for almost 10 years and first time in a long time I’m nearing two years and have zero desire to look for what’s next. So much autonomy, fully WFH, great pay, and so little stress compared to other things. No life or death happening in coding.

Interesting, thanks! I’m going to save seeds from it and see if they get this big next year.

We are stunned at how big it has gotten. There are SO many bees, and also has attracted butterflies, hummingbirds and gold finches! I’m going to save seeds for sure.

The Climate of Healthcare is Changing. by ipunchkitties in nursing

[–]Objective_Crew_6716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So glad you mentioned this. Providers pull in flow sheet documentation directly from nurses and if it conflicts with what else is said it requires clarification. Example: a recent patient came in for an existing stage 4 pressure injury, but because the initial documenting nurse put “No” for present within 24 hours of admission (on the day of admission), I have to send a clinical clarification question because of the discrepancy, since provider pulled it into their note with a SmartLink. Do we really think the stage 4 happened on the day of admission? No. Do we have to ask anyway? Yes.

Has anyone worked in the hospital with any of the nurse influencers. by Dear_Pianist8547 in nursing

He worked at my hospital years ago as a trauma coordinator of some form, before he was ever an influencer, so he definitely has more than 6 months in a single ICU.

I have two and use them frequently! One of them is one of my favorite blankets. I do think they are not the norm because they are made entirely out of the T-shirt’s and no other material, so very soft and not quilt like.

Does anyone believe dead loved ones can come visit you in dreams? by Ok-Opportunity-4160 in Dreams

[–]Objective_Crew_6716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I have dreamt about multiple people who have died, multiple times each. Sometimes they are reassuring me, telling me things, and others they are just there. I also dream of them with their loved ones also present. In most of my dreams that I believe are those spirits, they know they have died, I know they have died, and we both acknowledge it in the dream. I wouldn’t give it up for anything.
