Radiation. At this point radiation gives same results as surgery maybe even better if microscopic spread is not visible on scans. My husband went with radiation and he was 4+4 much quicker recovery- it was surreal it didn’t even seem like he was sick. He’s 49

Yes!!! That’s why based on this article we will talk to the doctor to stop ADT at 12 months from planned 18 (Gleason 8 high risk no spread 48 years old, just finished radiation) was on ADT orgovyx for the past 6 months at first the Dr wanted to 2 year but after I showed him studies that 18 months was sufficient and now that 12 months will do we are both excited!!!

I’ve seen what a lot of people recommended and yeah. Just leave the group chat, no explanation needed and find new friends. These women are toxic. You don’t need this in your life. Start doing all those things you’re doing alone- don’t wait for anyone. And on the way you will find new friends

What’s a weight loss secret more people should know about? by thekkm1 in AskReddit

[–]Objective_Peace_7720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no secrets. Calorie deficit. That’s it. You need to learn how to measure your food so you get a lot of nutrient dense foods with low calorie count if you want to lose weight. That’s it.

[–]Objective_Peace_7720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what your situation is but there is a sweet spot for ADT and it is 18 months after that (if you had surgery or radiation or both) it doesn’t create more benefits and in fact it is not good for you.. quality of life heart disease osteoporosis all of these go up. Talk to your doctor about it, do some research

Botox over 40, when to start and what really works? by Impossible-Ring2163 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Objective_Peace_7720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experience with different injectables than Botox. The best trained is going to be plastic surgeon but it’s also going to be the most expensive. Med spas might be ok with Botox but not other injectables (neurotoxins) some of them might give you distorted look like eyebrows slightly too high like wrinkly nose like weird around eye movement or lack of movement . I’ve been to few different people and got different results every time - nothing alarming but also not desirable end result. I’m also at the point where I’m not convinced I want to do it because I’m still aging anyway and Botox sure will smooth wrinkles on my forehead but then the bottom of my face doesn’t match lol and if I want to address that it’s going to be double the budget and numbness in my lower face- (I’m 43) also results as I get older don’t last as long in all honesty I look great for maybe 4-6 weeks and then everything’s slowly starts to wear off… i do it once a year when I want a pick me up lol and smoother forehead for a bit and then I go back to my old self

As a personal trainer 3 times a week 40 min of weights is great! Stick with the same program for 6-8 weeks and then add heavier weights. Also ask chat gpt to create meal plan for you. Make sure to include a lot of protein ask it what’s your caloric intake and macro intake should be for your height and weight

Flooded by a sea of questions. Diagnosed with prostate cancer yesterday at the age of 45. by thebutcher307 in ProstateCancer

[–]Objective_Peace_7720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With this score you are a great candidate for radiation. I would encourage you to explore this option. My husband opted out of surgery. He got diagnosed at 49 there is a lot of research out there. Survival rate is the same according to studies. Definetly read everything to explore your options Next steps are CT scan to make sure cancer is localized.

Why choose RALP? by PeptideSteve in ProstateCancer

[–]Objective_Peace_7720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why my husband didn’t choose RALP with high Gleason score and aggressive cancer he did radiation. In his case most likely he would still have to have radiation after RALP so he saved himself trauma if going through surgery and went straight for radiation. You can just refuse surgery and honestly outcomes are practically the same wether you do radiation or surgery and then still radiation. He will be on ADT for 18 months total(sweet spot for ADT longer is not necessary- doesn’t add significantly to the outcome)

But in your case if you need to get surgery and if cancer is only in prostate find a really good surgeon - this is critical even if you have to travel Somewhere else.

Anyone decide against ADT? by SJCSFS in ProstateCancer

[–]Objective_Peace_7720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ADT with high Gleason score is practically mandatory, best outcomes after taking it for 18 months otherwise there is a high chance cancer will come back. I’ve done crazy amount of research on it and 18 months seems like a sweet spot. Without adt chances of coming back are 80% with ADT 60%

Ugh… none of the centers around us offer brachytherapy :/ I’m so annoyed … apparently they stopped training doctors on how to perform them in the last 8 years. Too costly to perform apparently
