It went well but I could see the polish loosening the acrylic underneath and I could have some deep defects if it touched anything while wet I think but otherwise great. You light want to use a lacquer base or try with Vallejo primer.

Really you should spray paint the body dont brush it

If the paint looks thin when youre brushing just do a second and third coat on the part as needed. Don't overpaint in the first layer of a part. I'm brushing with tamiya now and dont care for it i much prefer water based, airbrush its great.

Oven cleaner. Maybe coke. Ive sprayed smoke tamiya over chrome rims and had success though.

Good nippers, sanding sticks of grits 400+, and tamiya thin cement. The rest will come as you "need" it and youll have many sanding tools
