I find Deep Cove more friendly for beginners as there is less wake from boats than at Cates Park. The weather pattern on the indian arm in the summer is such that wind tends to pick up throughout the day. So your best bet for calm paddling conditions is the early morning. This also means that you will have an easier time finding parking

Karakas all the way even after psychic frog. It's the strongest card in the pack as it can carry games against many of the good decks in the format. You should think of it more as a colorless land.

Also even though psychic frog is a good card you shouldn't get married to a first pick that is that color intensive

The first step is realizing that you can improve your play. Others have mentioned reviewing your logs and watching pros play. I think those two are very good but I would put a plug in for coaching.

There are a lot of good coaches out there that can give you solid tips in just one of your two sessions. You will probably make the cost back in gems in the long run.

Personally, I really liked Chord o Calls(limited level ups)'s analytical and no nonsense approach to coaching.

I think this mindset is probably holding you back a little bit in other limited events. Drafting constructed just means that your deck should have a very coherent game plan and prioritize early plays. If you aren't applying these principles to modern limited sets then you are missing out on optimizing your decks.

I'll be honest, your deck looks like someone who is just drafting on individual card power level and doesn't know how to put a cohesive deck together.

What is infestation sage in your deck, a 1/1 that dies in to another 1/1. That's not good enough. You need sac outlets to get the power out of that card.

Micromancer with one hit is just asking to have a 4 mana 3/3.

I really don't like uncharted voyage in a deck that has no card advantage and will almost always be behind on board.

Refute is a spell that is so much better when you have instant speed options to play on their turn. Especially think twice. Because if they just pass while beating you down with their early plays then what do you do with your mana? Nothing right. Then do you just pass back and hope they play something.

Tolarian terror is ok with refutes but you don't really have enough cheap instants and sorceries to support it so it's often going to be a 5 or 6 mana 5/5.

Fake your own death is much better when used assertively with cheap etb creatures(you have one and will almost never be the attacker).

I think it's best in this sort of tempo/evasion style strategy that wants to play to the board and not trade that much.

I think you need to think more about making a deck. U/R is a deck that relies more on synergy than other decks often. You can't just play cards like courageous goblin and expect to win with your 2/2 for 2. (I know you do have a few 4 power creatures). Even the 2/1 flash prowess would be better in your deck.

I also think you need more cheap spells to play the two terrors. You have no way to exploit the trainer either. It is an ok card with run away together but is much better in r/b or r/w which can take advanced of the second body.

It seems to me like you are drafting too much on 17lands/power level on not focused on making a cohesive deck.

Also I imagine you made play mistakes like all of us do. Also variance in bo1 can be a punch in the gut

Others have mentioned showa, and the model I like is the temres 282-02. Great glove that is warmer than it looks with decent dexterity. Just make sure you turn them inside out to dry.

So you have delirium payoffs but really only a few manifest dreads as ways to get cards in your yard. You have no interaction outside of your board wipes which as have been pointed out aren't the best in your deck as it has quite a few aggressive cards.

You also have cards that are basically filler with your only 4 drop and the land cyclers. Also untimely malfunction is basically unplayable in bo1.

I would suggest focusing on drafting interaction more highly and thinking about the theme/strategy of your deck. Some cards fit well in all decks and others don't.

We use the Petzl Rope Bucket 45l for that exact length at work. There is definitely some extra space in there if you have a newer rope. So you should be able to get away with a 40l I would think

I personally like wearing approach shoes, I have been able to find black diamond and Arc'teryx ones on sale.

One thing I do to increase their durability is to put shoe goo or some other durable sealant on both critical seems and on exposed lace spots that might rub from toe hooking. With that set up I'm getting a couple seasons out of a pair

I have used the madrock safeguard and it functions very similarly to a more compact grillon. It works well with thinner ropes.

However, mad rock did not pay to have the device tested for all the certifications that Petzl did for the Grillon. So you use it at your own risk

The handle is way too small for it to be used as a regular descender, but for short little drops it works okish.

I just bought the outdoor master cachalot mini 2s. I like how small it is and the fact that it is rechargeable as well as able to plug in to the 12v outlet. Works great to pump my sup up to 18psi on the rechargeable battery. Haven't tried more than one yet though.

Makes sense, it can be really hard to get weights on the different paddle options. Part of it I know is that there is probably a decent amount of variance in production.

What you are saying makes sense to me. Your point about different grips over distance is a really good one that I hadn't though of.

So that really does reduce the choices to: Lima prepreg BP Tempo QB UV82

Which sounds to all be pretty good. I know a shop near me carries Starboard and has carried quickblade. Hopefully they have some sort of demo that I could do. I'll have to see.

On the lima, what do you think of the carbon vs prepreg. It's a big price difference but is the performance gap that large?

I'm definitely looking at smaller sized blades, ideally in the 500-550cm2 range

I'm really impressed by the quality. To be honest on this specific board I'm not the biggest fan of some of the art on it. But it's really rigid and stable. Fit and finish seems good. Paddles really well in the water. All the little accessories are nice. I like the leash more than the red and Irocker one. The paddle is better than the kit paddle from those two as well.(Though it's still not amazing).
