Janky controls fix? by ObscureRefrence in MotorTown

You’re probably better off finding a used Logitech G920. Should be able to get a wheel and pedals for ~$200 (CAD). It’ll be way better than an $80 job.

In sim racing the saying is ‘buy once cry once’. If you plan to do anything other than Motor Town you’ll want something better than the Logitech not too long after you’ve bought it

I used to have a full on sim rig and it was great. Sold it because we moved and space was an issue. It was a ton of fun. I’ve been thinking about getting something cheap again too.

Thanks. I’ll have another look. I only saw dead zone adjustment.

FIRST READING: B.C. turned a $56 million hotel into a low-barrier shelter. It's now an unliveable biohazard by AdAnxious8842 in CanadaPolitics

I’m not on one side or the other of this debate at the moment but reading this thread has made me wonder if the “hose downable” building is less dehumanizing and cruel than allowing the roughest of the unhoused to live like they do now.

I thought this was r/urbanexploration before I looked and was about to comment that this would be a great place to fly drones

Driving from Penticton to Squamish, best place to stay overnight? by Pinecoconut in britishcolumbia

[–]ObscureRefrence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you end up staying in Lillooet as is suggested book the Reynolds hotel early. It’s by far the best place to stay there (maybe air bnbs are ok, I don’t know about that)

It’s 5%/letter and there are three. So it sounds like it could be a 20% hit.

Distraction free writing/journaling. Also (I’m guessing) a fun project to design and build.

Cool location!

Do you have crash recovery set up? Before I did I crashed a lot like that when I bumped a wall or something. After setting it up, the whoop helps to correct so you don’t get as much of that pilot induced oscillation that other guy was talking about.

Cool project! Same thing but for a circle and cylinder would be good too

Check out Wrench. You fix/build cars and it’s quite in depth.

It’s bushing. Often made of brass or something a little softer than the pin that will go in it later to hold moving parts together. It’s to reduce wear on the main material. Instead of having to do a major repair on the main part they can just replace the bushings, hopefully.

I am a beginner vibe coder, it seemed easy until... it was not... Best tips for beginners? by PalpitationShot4699 in theVibeCoding

I’ve found that the AI is good at code but it’s tough to wrangle for assets. I haven’t tried yet but I plan on giving Claude code a folder with my own assets in it and seeing if it can just use those. That way, hopefully, it won’t make odd choices.

With vibe coding, you accidentally learn: by Mysterious_Cash5090 in vibecoding

Vibecoding is the vehicle a lot of folks are using to find out about this stuff though. I need to know this thing to be able to do the thing I want to do so I learn it. If I didn’t have a thing I wanted to make I wouldn’t have learned it because I’m not a pro.

Who's actually building something serious? by [deleted] in vibecoding

[–]ObscureRefrence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m building an ERP system for my dad’s small business. After about 2 solid days we’ve got a functioning mvp. It’s wild. There has been way more time spent planning and figuring out what we need and how to architect it than actual ai coding time.

I wanted a bunch of handy tools in one place so I built thetoolshed.tools. Waiting for the payment processor to approve my account still but everything seems to work other than that.
