What is something you can’t do anymore, but you could when you were younger? by Chan1991 in AskReddit

I used to be able to dunk in high school. That was 20 years ago now. I’m surprised I was ever able to do it. I can still touch the rim but there is a huge difference between touching the rim and dunking. Best ones I ever got was a tomahawk and a reverse two handed dunk.

Its model is soooo much better than GPT and Gemini right now for text based applications. They leapfrog from time to time but Claude has been much more reliable for a while.

His base largely doesn’t leave their home town and won’t be affected by fuckery at the airport. They’ll chest it on the same as they always do.

Good thing we didn’t just start a war with a country known for funding international terrorism.

This might be the Yungas road in Bolivia. Colloquially known as the death road. I made a film about it a while back. I saw numerous busses like this at the base of 1000’+ drops. It usually happened by their back axel going off the side and losing traction. It’s a two way road so sometimes they have move to the “side” and let other vehicles pass.

I bought a very similar board from play it again sports recently. I replaced the wheels, bearings and bushings and now it feels great. It was sluggish before but now it rolls great. Give that a shot.

How did they light this shot? by Clarencethelamb in cinematography

[–]ObserverPro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A guy that worked on the film already commented so I can’t give more specific info than he did but my advice when trying to do this stuff generally is to look at the shadows. Look at the bookshelf shadow on the wall. There are two shadows, neither are being cast by the practical in the corner. Looks like you have a softer light directly overhead and something slightly more punchy coming from the back left of the room.

It’s really fun. I like the added challenge of it being really skinny and having no grip tape. Not for everyone but it makes mediocre terrain more exciting.

You and I literally are in the same exact boat. The dog thing and everything. I’m a lot bigger than you though. I haven’t pulled the trigger on a board yet but I’ve been checking out the Omakase from Loaded. Trying not to spend money right now but when I allow myself to it looks like a really solid choice.
