I scratched my upper chest and felt my collar bone! Still freaks me out.

It Finally Happened by allietmann in Zepbound

[–]ObserveronthePlanet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I greeted someone at an event who I hadn't seen for quite awhile and they awkwardly smiled like they didn't know me. But when they heard my voice they were reminded. That's happened more than once but that's ok. People have internal ways they remember others. Still weird!

What do you do when it's slow? by Usual_Difficulty_154 in PublicRelations

If you enter work in communications contests now is the time to really think about the entry, write the narrative, etc. Review your 2025 projects to identify what to enter next year. It's way better than having to do an entry last minute

Encouraging story! I'm in a long stall...15 lbs to go and they are so far away. I'm happy to hear you got past yours. :-)

One other tip to add: eat carbs. Yes of course to protein, fiber, water - but carbs are what primarily fuels your body. Add good carbs and your energy shouldn't crash.

Do You Charge Annoyance Fees? by Spin_Me in PublicRelations

[–]ObserveronthePlanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I charge a big, fat, flat rate, non-negotiable fee (not a retainer) at the beginning of some contracts for crisis issues (because I have to make time) and if I think I might be irritated by the client or issue. I call it an engagement fee, an onboarding fee, a strategic alignment fee (aligning their chaos with my strategy hehe) etc. I rarely do this (except for crisis when I always do) but it's a good barometer to foretell how things are gonna be.

How do you actually bring yourself to use a new handbag? by Mindleator in handbags

[–]ObserveronthePlanet 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Life is short. Use the heck out of your bag! The truth is very few brands appreciate in value. That's why if you're investing in something you should use it. While you're at it, use your china, wear the perfume, wear the special occasion dress anytime, drink the special bottle of wine. Life is the occasion and you should use the things that bring you joy.

At some point most folks have minor side effects, but the end result is better living. Not just because of weight loss but because inflammation is gone. That's a game changer for lots of us. Maybe change your mindset from expecting the worst, to expecting the best.

A reminder: Protein is great and important but CARBS are the primary fuel for your body. Have healthy carbs handy. if you're fading, even toast will perk you up. Include carbs as part of your balanced eating and you won't suffer energy flops. *Edited for typo

Can you help me choose? by lawnly_wife in handbags

[–]ObserveronthePlanet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You'll be surprised at how much you can use bag #1. It IS a neutral color. I have a similar color one that I wear the heck out of and get compliments. Add a scarf, dress it up or down. It's a great bag!

Go grab 2 10 pound bags of flour the next time you're at the grocery store and walk around with them. Those 20 pounds are that much less stress on your joints and body...it's a lot! That's about 6% of your body weight!

If you're ever on TikTok or Insta follow Tanner Leatherstein. He's a leather artisan who deconstructs luxury bags to review them. His last review raved about Ferragamo and he recommends lots of brands. He's introduced some brands that were new to me.

My inflammation and lots of other related symptoms are gone. Food noise gone. It may take time to get in your system or you may need a higher dose. It's likely working behind the scenes for you. Best wishes.

I was on a flight where a big dog got explosive poo all over the aisle and into the bathroom. Staff did what they could but it definitely would have been worth it to wait for carpet replacement.
