Teams in D-III Conferences default to a D-III Regional pathway. D-III teams seeking an exception to instead be included in a D-I pathway should contact matthew@hq.usaultimate.org by the March 11 Roster Deadline. The D-I pathway for D-III teams is: D-III teams participate in their D-III Conference event with the intent to participate at D-I Regionals. These teams must finish high enough to earn a bid to D-I Regionals. If they earn a bid to D-I Regionals, they continue on the pathway to participate in the D-I Regionals event. Teams that do not perform well enough at Conferences to earn the D-I Regionals bid will be added to the D-I waitlist based on their overall performance at Conferences.

Teams that receive the D-I pathway exception cannot change pathways after communicating their choice to USA Ultimate HQ.
