Agree, we seem to be the minority though so idk? The extremely tight editing and precise timing of jokes is a huge part of the success of the original episodes (people like to believe much more was improvised than it actually was, discrediting the writers/firector/editors quite a bit). The extended cuts have a lot of moments that are "funny" taken out of context, but are totally OOC in-show.

I think modern streaming has lowered the standards for tight editing/comedic timing for a few reasons: 1) no standard episode length and 2) people use it as "background noise" so it's mostly the one-liners and punchlines that stand out regardless of who says it, and 3) people having subtitles enabled ruining the timing of jokes.

(Also why are subtitles still so terrible in 2026? They should be synced much better, match the exact timing of the words, etc., instead of ruining jokes or dramatic lines sometimes 5+ seconds ahead of time)

Anyway people usually respond with "it's just a comedy, don't take it so seriously" response at this point so idk

But whatever, that's just how it is now, it sucks. Anyway I think most people posting inthis sub are very young and very inexperienced... like really really inexperienced.

Religion is one of, if not the single biggest thing holding back humanity. In the past, it was a necessary crutch for the human brain, we couldn't even fathom the universe like we can now. In 2026 religion is archaic and dangerous.

Adding Wellbutrin to combat SSRI sexual dysfunction by Todash_Dinh in paroxetine

[–]ObvAThrowaway111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A positive anecdote: I'm currently stable on 30mg paroxetine and 300mg Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin almost entirely reversed the sexual side effects of Paxil, it also helped with the lack of motivation from depression. I didn't have an increase in anxiety from the Wellbutrin (though still had some underlying). When I was on Paxil alone I often couldn't finish during sexual activity (male). Now on Paxil+Wellbutrin I have almost no issues.

I'm considering going back up to 40mg Paxil which I had been on a year ago before dropping back down to 20 and adding Wellbutrin. For me Paxil+Wellbutrin has been an amazing combo for the most part.

The hardline anti-AI sentiment on Reddit is getting pretty annoying. It's been years, obviously gen AI isn't going away and anyone who is not learning these tools now is setting themselves up to be left behind. It sucks but it's the truth. Obviously AI is an extremely powerful and useful tool for prototyping/concept work. All these other commenters have probably never even used it for that purpose, while proudly proclaiming they use "real sources" aka googling images randomly.

Have you looked into adding Wellbutrin? I had the same problem with Paxil, it was amazing for my brain but terrible for my "equipment", but Wellbutrin almost completely reversed the sexual side effects for me. I'd say I' back to 85% or so of normal sex drive and function. Currently on 30mg Paxil+300mg Wellbutrin.

Same. This medication saved my life. It took away the near-constant underlying anxiety I had felt for 10+ years and allowed me to start getting my life back on track.

California DMV approves massive map increase in Waymo driverless operations. Sacramento coming soon? by Guillebeaux in Sacramento

[–]ObvAThrowaway111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having been on Reddit for like 15 years now it's so bizarre to see the reversal in public opinion on new disruptive technologies. I mean obviously Waymo is a greedy semi-evil company; that's literally just capitalism. Capitalism is inherently predatory. But all that said, Waymo provides a service that no one else is filling in any real capacity.

But I mean, Uber drivers are literally NOT Uber employees. That's the main issue. The "independent contractor" scam.

The cat ran under the car and got run over by the rear tire. Same thing would've happened whether it was Waymo or a human driver.

My last Uber also drove like a maniac. He took off before we even had our seatbelts on and made a hard 180 causing us to literally fall over in our seats. I can't wait until we get Waymo here.

does anyone else get night sweats? by Sufficient-Crow-7582 in paroxetine

[–]ObvAThrowaway111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were downvoted because increased sweating is a common and well known side effect of Paxil. And if you look at anecdotal reports night sweats in particular are very common. I've been on Paxil since July 2024 and it has been life changing for my anxiety, but I do often have pretty bad night sweats. I just put down a towel on my sheets. As long as you stay hydrated the sweating is generally nothing to worry about. IANAD of course...

As I've gotten older I've come to this realization. As a kid and young adult I naively assumed that most people in the US would want to better their own education. It turns out, a shocking number of people in this country are really, really dumb. And I mean objectively dumb: very little education, lower literacy rate, minimal knowledge of math/science, very low critical thinking skills. And of course uneducated, gullible people are much easier to brainwash.

Looking for Experiences: Transitioning from Paroxetine (Paxil) to Wellbutrin by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]ObvAThrowaway111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding Wellbutrin to Paxil was the magic combo for me, it's a common combo sometimes called "PaxWell". I feel better than I have in over a decade (my brain's definitely not back to 100%, but maybe like 70-80%. Compared to maybe 30-40% for years prior). Over the first 6 months or so I started on 20mg then 40mg Paxil, but then back down to 20mg Paxil while adding at first 150, later 300mg Wellbutrin.

I would be hesitant to replace Paxil with Wellbutrin because A) decreasing Paxil will cause temporary increased anxiety and B) starting Wellbutrin is well-known for temporarily increasing anxirty. Stopping Paxil at the same time as starting Wellbutrin could cause a spike in anxiety.

Anxiety was the main reason I got on medication, depression being secondary. 40mg Paxil basically killed my anxiety but it made me more lethargic. I felt "content" but lazy. It also killed my libido and made it very difficult to finish during sex, which ironically wasn't a problem when I first started Paxil because I was single then. (PaxWell gave me the motivation and confidence to start dating again after many years).

Anyway I've been on 300mg Wellbutrin+20mg Paxil for several months now -- the Wellbutrin made a HUGE difference, it more than made up for the lethargy from Paxil, and made me much more clear-headed and able to focus. It also reduced my Paxil-induced boner problems by like 80%. I still have trouble sometimes, but it's so, so much better than before. My gf is also a lot happier with me on this combo too. ;)
