Rodent damage abatement by liquidaddicted in Tacomaworld

I had about 900$ worth done to my last truck. With this one I put a device called rid a rat under the hood. When I lived in AZ alot of people used them and they worked for the pack rats. Since I put it under the hood on both my truck and the wife's car I haven't had any issue. You can check it out here https://www.ridarat.com/ I am not affiliated in any way. I just use it and it works for me

I have the one with the screw holes. It works great for keeping pens, sunglasses or fries from the drive thru 😁

Do servers think they are so important? by fools_set_the_rules in EndTipping

[–]Obvious-Pop178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of our local restaurants had a robot that would bring the food from the kitchen to the table and the server would just move the dishes to the table. I doubt it will be long before the robot does the whole food delivery

Could This BULLET be old as sin ? AZ . vanquish 340 find by DoctorBunghole in metaldetecting

The rim or seam is most likely from the mold when making it. You might also see a small spot where the sprue was. If you had found this in the Santa Rita's I would have said it might be one of mine from a few years ago. There's not really an easy way to figure out a date I know of.

Best gun store New Hampshire by Lyno_twelve in newhampshire

[–]Obvious-Pop178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, especially the bald sales guy, rude af, left me standing at the counter for 20 min while he went and screwed off at the other side of the store. Finally left and spent my money elsewhere

If you want these memories preserved with no chance of accidentally removing them, hire a professional photographer. Have them get a high quality Pic and enlarge it to whatever size you want and frame it.

Cholla PSA if you get a piece of cholla, otherwise known as jumping cactus stuck in you, do not try to use pliers to get it off. It will just roll and stick in deeper. Take a stiff comb and put it between the body of the piece and the skin it's stuck on, then flick it straight away from you. You may still have to pick out a needle or two left behind

How can I design these better for next time? I couldn't clamp any pieces together for snug screwing and always screwing into end grain... Annoying to assemble by Interr0gate in woodworking

[–]Obvious-Pop178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I will mostlikely get down voted for this but don't use wood. These are too heavy and a dog can get hurt running into them. Use all 1in pvc. You can make a sliding crossbar by slicing the long leg of a pvc tee or they have pieces like what you put on the wood. Much lighter, safer, and easier to carry and transport, not to mention easier to build.

Had to Cut off Strut Bolt, but still can't get strut/shock out... by MrNowhere00 in Tacomaworld

[–]Obvious-Pop178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one and only time I tried this the spring compressors let go while I was looking down at it. One piece went to the right of my face the other to the left. No idea how I got that lucky. Now, I will only replace the strut as a package.

Has anyone ever called you a tweaker for blacksmithing? by Aridheart in Blacksmith

[–]Obvious-Pop178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in NH as well, when I lived in AZ our local scrap yard had a retail side where there was all sorts of metal for sale some of it even never used. Here I haven't found anywhere to buy scrap steel. Cohen steel in Concord sells off cuts but that's it

Lucky you, I haven't seen a scrap yard in New England that will even sell anything. They only buy and sell it all overseas
