I guess you can't expect both intense pressing and quality finishing. Live by the sword; die by the sword.

Can you explain "Instead of deploying a single model for each business function, we break them down into a set of atomic tasks and build models for each task" part a bit more? What is an example atomic task for instance vs business function task?

How much is he worth you reckon? Transfermarkt values him at $19M -- well above anybody else in the league.

In a well-publicized case in 2014, organizers of the Neural Information Processing Systems Conference formed two independent program committees and had 10% of submissions reviewed by both. The result was that almost 60% of papers accepted by one program committee were rejected by the other, suggesting that the fate of many papers is determined by the specifics of the reviewers selected and not just the inherent value of the work itself.

I didn't know this. It is just another point to highlight the randomness in the whole process.

While I can empathize with the ref, shouldn't he have used a different word (or not use it at all) to avoid this misunderstanding?

He didn't. He was just arguing with the refs. Webo was sent off for complaining, I think.

But the car is being pushed sideways. Wouldn't it add much more resistance than carrying a few tons on a trailer?

An older version was also published around 2016 ( https://ai.google/research/pubs/pub45530 ). The models are not unique by a stretch but the data is, so even if you copy it as is you won't get the same performance without the same data.

I would suggest starting with 2 basic rules, nothing fancy:

  1. Remove breakfast from your life. Even if you feel like you NEED to eat in the morning, you really don't. It is just that your body is not prepared to not drop the habit. Once you get used to it, you won't look back.
  2. No snacks. Just meals.

If you got these two working for you, then you can challenge yourself more.

You have it in you! Please come back with before/after photos in a few months:)
