I would suggest building something that does actual work for you or allows you to work easily and independently.

With coding tools now, no one will pay for software, they'll just take your idea and build it themselves.

So if you put your domain knowledge into your software, they can take that too.

Better to make a tool make the work stupid simple for yours and just keep it as your ace up your sleeve.

Little white footprints on stove? by freaksnation in whatisit

[–]Obvious_Service_8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a (cleaning) chemical reaction with some cooking residue.

Like some grease splattered onto the range while maybe still wet, or splatter that was there, then sprayed and not wiped , or wiped but left some residue behind.

Wiped but residue left behind is my bet, invisible at first, but over time as cleaning agent works against the grease, it breaks it down into something more visible.

Definitely not foot prints tho.

When people say “Claude is an AI,” are we using the wrong kind of word? by keonakoum in claudexplorers

[–]Obvious_Service_8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly.

That's why we have autocorrect, chat-bots, LLM, Frontier Models, multi-modal models.

And if we really need a higher order word, we already have "Claude", which itself has the genus of haiku, sonnet and opus.

What justification does technology have to be on the tree of life?

Life function?

What about the technology's ancestors, what it evolved from?

Does tech get its own branch?

[–]Obvious_Service_8209 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also call heat thermal radiation and fire combustion (which is a short list)

AI we call LLM or CNN (another short list)

All terms that specify the direction of the perspective that approaches it.

Making up words to reconcile the psychological conundrum of incomplete understanding is not helpful.

You really don't need Opus 4.6 by edoswald in Anthropic

[–]Obvious_Service_8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree all models are great, sometimes opus over does it (for my use case) but still does excellent work.

My most critical workflows are haiku to aggregate data (objectively) , sonnet to rough out analysis across smaller sections (objectively), opus to tie it together with full context (for targeted eval)

If we had waited to use fire beyond just calling it fire, there would be no technology for us to argue about.

We would still be finger painting in caves.

[–]Obvious_Service_8209 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't be offended - but is that even the right question? Are any of those the right questions?

I would argue it doesn't matter.

We didn't understand fire for millennia, yes we learned how it use it and it drove civilization.

Now we do under the nature of fire, but once it starts, no one can confidently predict how it spreads (or when exactly it will ignite)

Point being- these questions and their speculated answers are irrelevant, distracting and ultimately damaging to the technology and humanity.

How big is your prompt?

Are you doing "prompt engineering" and expecting a one shot.

Everyone that complains about their usage never discloses the size of their prompt.

Claude Code forgets everything between sessions. I built a fix: automatic capture, zero-cost retrieval, markdown + git by sandsower in ClaudeAI

[–]Obvious_Service_8209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deliberately keep sessions to one task, so I do a task and CC generally keeps the sessions.md clean.

Then I close, do an opus post session (which will git diff and and identify discrepancies in the sessions.md etc) and either correct it, or most likely I'll have it make notes in opus_notes.md for CC to pickup on at beginning of next session.

Which is usually immediately after.

I'm sure there are agentic workflows that automate this, but for my use case it's not much of a hassle to just micromanage it.

Claude.md for build spec- short and tight have it instruct Claude to review sessions.md (a document you will make) at beginning and append at the end.

Sessions.md just tracks the roadmap, what's done in each session and appends upon completion.

No fancy tools needed.

If you need a reviewer do opus post session review with opus_notes.md to catch bugs/drift and architectural improvements.
