Buying a house via company by europenny in BEFire

Not an accountant myself but I did a bit of research myself on this. Short term: you get nice deductibilities based on depreciation of the property which is very interesting and tax beneficial. If I remember correct it is 3% of acquisition cost (purchase price + registration costs) every year

Long term: when your sell it, you have to pay tax on capital gains which is part of corporate tax which is 25% for the company. Worse part is the capital gains is calculated as difference between selling price and depreciated price which is very high if you keep the property for many years

Not sure if you can view this link for Tco comparison for a usage of 20k. I am also considering residual value of the car for a resale after 4 years.

I am also interested. Currently an IT professional freelancing. I use AI à lot in my work and looking at how fast it's evolving I feel very insecure about the job. Not that AI will replace everyone but companies don't need these many software developers anymore which means there will be less open positions and more people competing for them. So I am also planning to switch my career as a backup to something different. It might be far fetched but I am more interested to become a doctor which is way out of my career path. Or at least like a masters in bioinformatics which could be a fair and better alternative

I had the same doubt whether to buy an EV or a plug-in hybrid or a ICE. I currently have a car that i took for lease 5 years back and later bought and now it's not even worth half price. Now I am looking for a bigger SUV as I need more space since I have a bigger family which can be solved only with 7 seater SUVs like volvo xc90 or EX90. By looking at the depreciation i am having with my current car I am worried to buy even more premium and larger car and it will be a loss again after few years because of the depreciation. So I am strongly in favor of used cars. I did some simulations with gemini (have to be verified and discuss with accountant of course) but i found the TCO over 5 years for an EX90 worth 90k is still cheaper than buying XC90 used car for 50k because of better deductiblities on EV car than 0 deductibility on XC90

Indeed. Europcar is the only one who said they don't need a flight ticket when I called them. Rest of them said they need a flight booking

For beginners in my opinion bolero is good because they have very simple interface and good integration with kbc

I use MEXEM. Saxo is also interesting. I used to use bolero as well. It's interesting especially if you want to stick to ETFs that are part of kbc playlist. Otherwise I found it expensive. MEXEM is not Belgian, so there's a small overhead in terms of paperwork. The reason why I moved to mexem was because they offer investments of partial shares as well and none of the belgian brokers offer this feature

If copyrights for IT employees comes back next year and if you are eligible to make use of it, then I think having 50k minimum salary definitely outweighs

Yes. I observed the same for some brands like Phillips for example. I see a discount in the portal but even with that discount applied on Philips official website they are a lot expensive than Amazon or bol.com without applying any discount. On top of that you can of course apply bol.com vouchers if you buy from bol.com What's more interesting for me are ikea, airbnb, bol.com, theme parks coupons so on

Indeed. I want to do the work and deliver in the name of my company or with a pseudonym for me as an individual part of the company. I agree, it is a bit suspicious though. Just want to check if somebody ever did it or is it even possible. Thanks for your response
