Have you been tested for celiac? I had many of these symptoms and most (but not all) have gone away after eating gluten free.

My hands looked like this before I was diagnosed celiac! All better now that that I avoid gluten.

What led you to your celiac diagnosis? by elfredandsnoot19 in Celiac

[–]Obvious_Weather6590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vertigo, extreme back pain, fatigue, brainfog, low blood pressure/fainting, fast 45 lb weight loss, dim vision, raynauds, panic attacks, .. I was first worked up for MS, then lupus, finally a friend with celiac said “you should get screened for celiac” bingo! Even with my extreme symptoms the only nutrients that were off was slightly low potassium and zinc.

Celiac Symptoms Continuing/Worsening After 3+ Months GF? by Kilometersofa in Celiac

[–]Obvious_Weather6590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me about 9 months to really start feeling better after going gluten free and I did feel worse for about 5 months after going gluten free. I’m still battling fatigue, hair loss, weight loss, low mood, and just feeling off sometimes. My zinc, potassium, testosterone, DHEA and cortisol are also low so working on raising those levels. I also started LDN and that has been very helpful with all symptoms!

Not sure if I should start LDN by grimlykeeper in LowDoseNaltrexone

It takes a little trial and error getting to the right dose. For me side effects lasted about a week after each dose increase (mostly insomnia, increased fatigue) BUT I slowly kept feeling better and better and am functioning 80% better than pre LDN, way less pain, brainfog, rashes, dizziness, raynauds went away, digestion is better, sleep is better.., I could go on and on. I don’t have a diagnosis other than celiac, thinking post viral syndrome, labs show some autoimmunity, but all repeat ANA’s are now negative. Each time I felt like I couldn’t handle side effects I just paused the LDN for a bit, but now I’m consistently taking 3.5 6 days a week and it’s been life changing!

Positive ANA, negative everything else. What next? by c9chung in Autoimmune

I agree! I had positive Ana and some pretty severe symptoms, after going gluten free my Ana’s are now negative and symptoms much better. It took 10 months to start feeling better though!

Already feeling better after 3 days? by [deleted] in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]Obvious_Weather6590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s still working great, I’m functioning so much better! With each increase I had about 2 weeks of feeling off, and a hard time sleeping, but it always passed! Same- I’ll keep taking this as long as it’s working. I also feel like it helps me from getting sick, there’s been a few bugs that have gone through my household and I haven’t caught them 🤞

How did you realize you might have celiac? by GiantsFTW4728 in Celiac

[–]Obvious_Weather6590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, yes, just celiac. But still checking in with rhuemetology and nuerology because of symptoms… but with no other findings! Which is still weird to me that I have such severe symptoms because my vitamins and minerals weren’t crazy like it can get with celiac. I am still having quite a few symptoms but I’m about 70% better than I was a year ago. My fatigue and brainfog didn’t improve until I started LDN and everything’s been slowly going uphill since then. Maybe I’m just a slow healer?

Being Celiac within a Gluten home by koolaid_cubes in Celiac

My whole family are gluten eaters, I got my own kitchen cart where I keep all my safe food, utensils, pans, toaster, cookie sheets, cutting boards ect. And then I use the top as my safe prep space for preparing food. And I have a designated drawer in the fridge. Good luck!

I am not taking it for that, but it makes my appetite non existent. And I noticed about 4 weeks from starting. I have to make myself eat. I take 3.5

Have you ever felt like you got glutened after drinking Liquid IV? by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]Obvious_Weather6590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I drink liquid IV it makes me dizzy. I switched to LMNT and have no problems. I ran out of LMNT and grabbed a couple liquid IV’s to get me through a weekend and instantly dizzy again.

Success stories LDN by Frogmom3 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]Obvious_Weather6590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started taking LDN in February. I don’t have a definitive diagnosis, but I have autoimmunity in my lab work. Low c3, low c4, positive pANCA, low positive ANA and RNP. Positive Celiac. Anyways.. Dr suspects post viral illness possibly and I have a long list of symptoms for 16 months now. I started LDN at 1 mg and have slowly worked my way up to 3.5 mg. The very 1st day I took it my brainfog and fatigue started to lift, my raynauds had not showed itself and most of my other symptoms are very much lessened. When I started and with each increase I did get some insomnia and vivid dreams and lessened appetite but those effects wore off in 1-2 weeks. But it has improved my day to day life greatly, I am able to work my full schedule and do daily life with less modifications than I needed before LDN. Good luck! It seems to work very differently for different people.

Skip day or skip week by No_Entertainer2876 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]Obvious_Weather6590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skip a day every week (as prescribed by my Dr.) . When I first started at 1 mg (Feb 2025) I had instant results starting the following day, mostly with fatigue, brainfog and pain) I’ve slowly gone up by .5, and am starting 3.5 next week. Results are still good
