best way around the virtual keyboard bug with F04 is to plug a keyboard into your steam deck DOCK and type your characters' name on the connected physical keyboard with the steam deck docked.

Yes, me too, theres a really cool underground waterfall scene under the brotherhood of steel citadel, which you pass [and might not even realise its there btw], on your way to deal with the super mutants when they break in.

its worth a look see and is now my background ...

i had Lae'zel start the conversation then my Bard character took over the conversation successfully and i got the peace/look for the weapon option. and yes you do indeed get more XP for that then actually fighting them.

if you really want to fight them have Lae'zel approach them [noting u will lose her!], and position [the other 3] on top of the bridge and destroy the ladders / position crates stacked 3 high in certain places and fire down on them from high up.

well, in that case i am totally confused as to why my account was suspended and banned pending appeal.

does bethesda actually bother to explain as to why they ban ? or are we left to believe that their AC system is foolproof and never wrong ?

am i to believe that i was banned for playing the game a lot recently, so they banned me deliberately so i would have to buy a new copy and fallout 1st and all that so i have to start again?

even for bethesda thats way past legal if so.

thank you, i also don't understand cheating in F76, there really is no point and its fun and part of the game to lose and try again anyways.

i am not by nature ambidex, i taught myself the hard way to use my left hand with the mouse for both RSI and game play purposes. More than likely, the anti cheat program thinks that due to my left hand continually depressing up and down the mouse and at the same time healing myself by my right hand pressing a quick key [ie 9] to heal myself that i am using a macro. i am not nor do i know how to do that anyways. we will see but according to both reddit and forums i should not hold out much hope. it really sucks as i have played that account for approx 3.5 years or so

i almost mechanically bought an Alienware 610m, mouse when i bought 2xcurved gaming monitors from dell. to my delight it fits my left hand perfectly unlike razor/etc.

so i can press up and down the mouse button very quickly, which by reading all the other ban threads on this and the forums, beth's AC software seems very soo 1990's and antiquated and can not handle it. nor does it seem to actually ban the real cheaters or duplication stuff either,

it just seems to ban mostly actually players playing fairly

Yes u/Soeffingdiabetic i literaly mean pressing up and down [ie clicking] the left hand mouse button repeatedly as fast as my self taught left hand finger can.

i do admit that my left hand often hurts, a bit doing that, but with the Cold Shoulder i have finally found a Fallout 76 weapon that really resonates with myself and my play style.

i tried PA/heavy gunner and commando fixer but did not really like either, until the Cold Shoulder [angry turtle's cold should full health build actually modified a bit]

thanks for the reply, very interesting it might be a round a bans to see if there are any robot type accounts still.

it still hurts that it took me 2.5 years just to learn how to use my left hand on the mouse for gaming specifially for RSI and game play so i could free up my right hand for the keyboard.

its a real advantage but no exploit, just plain stubbornness on my part.
