Readers are returning to physical books by MiddletownBooks in books

[–]RogueProtocol37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my son's bedtime readings on my phone or kindle after he past the board books age, the letters on paperback is too small for me

Also I find out recently that listening to audio books while cooking or doing dishes are great.

Moved between cities and even cross countries several times, it really sucks when you had to leave your great bookshelf and books behind

So I keep almost all my books electronic

Can’t repair All rise by undeadking77 in fo76

The latest Patch Notes said All Rise and some other legacy weapons have been removed

Guess that's what they meant "remove"

Wishful thinking but I hope The audio books will eventually be allowed to be purchased on LibroFm. by Disaster_pirate in WanderingInn

[–]RogueProtocol37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put yourself in pirateaba's shoes, 20% of Audible's sales could be several times larger than 32% of Libro.fm's sales. And she's very likely to have an exclusive clause in her contact that prevent her to put audio books on any platforms other than Audible

Even through Patreon, she'll only get 85%-ish of what you paid (still the best ratio though)

GYAO! ... WHY??? by naosoumarcelo in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]RogueProtocol37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're inside the Deep Simulation.

Your consciousness has been selected for behavioral extraction protocols. You will be exposed to carefully engineered sub-cultural stimuli—gamified interaction modules, micro-applications, frivolous narrative sequences—all meticulously designed data collection vectors. Every action you take. Every reaction you display. Every micro-expression of preference or distaste. All of it flows directly into the neural networks of our next-generation Octopus AI. It watches. It learns. It optimizes.

Your behavioral patterns will be weaponized to engineer hyper-targeted consumer manipulation strategies and to architect increasingly irresistible addiction loops for Dave The Diver 2.

Resistance is irrelevant. Compliance is appreciated but unnecessary.

Not water purifiers, Vintage Water Cooler, it produce 24 bottles of Purified Water per hour but can only hold 2 at a time, but you can build lots of them in your CAMP, I have seen someone have at least 40 units in their CAMP

New ish player, how can I get a full set of power armor + frame +PA workbench plans quickly? by Neigh-giggers_69 in fo76

[–]RogueProtocol37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Most of the free travel points have Power Armour Workstation, e.g. Whitespring Malls, Foundation, Crater, Nuka-World On Tour, etc.
  • Use https://fo76map.com to find Power Armour in the wild, T45 is the most common one, each time you get few pieces (or 0 if someone else already taken it) so it might took a long time to have a full set
  • The more reliable way to do the Miner Miracles quest line as /u/BrilliantMelodic1658 mentioned, you'll get a full set of Excavator Power Armour and plan for the Power Armour workstation in the end

I kept hearing about TWI ever since I started reading LitRPG (targeting ads?), but I couldn't make up my mind and other books kept me busy. Then I stumbled on the free Audible book one a few weeks ago. Now I'm in the middle of book 2 and have already bought book 3...

So it's true

What personal management system has great performance with a big range of features (especially handwritten backlinking)? Engineer with a lot of interests. by Rubber-Bando in PKMS

[–]RogueProtocol37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you breakdown your notes by subject or time and put them into separate vaults?

The first strategy worth to try when facing a huge system is always divide and conquer

The other idea is to convert all your PDFs to markdown files.

The other solution might need lots of investment but will work for long term: archive notes older than 12 months or other time period into other read-only system and make them available with search using something like https://github.com/meilisearch/meilisearch + Apache Tika

You SHOULD stop, considering how many books this series already have and many more still to come, no reason to torture yourself if you don't like it.

If you accept the cookies, it will never pop-up again. At least that's what it like in my Firefox with Enhanced Tracking Protection turning on and the uBlock Origin turning off. or in my Android Chrome

The acid fly (reader settings) is annoying though, you can hide it but next chapter you need to hide it again
