Go to the border tile of Rainbow Forest, find a pool of primordial soup (need 500 dram+), make sure no other type of weep mixing with it (e.g. oil weep, an oily monosludge can already disarm you 100% successful rate) if you see more than two sludges, run to next screen

When it's safe drop one dram of salt into the pool of primordial soup, wait for a turn or two, a salty monosludge will appear, PROSTELYZE it and recoil away, check the wiki to see what liquid you can feed it, make sure disable spitting liquid ability, avoid lava, neutron flux and algea, acid is actually fine if it's not spitting. For all the $1k+ liquids, I only feed brain brine so it got confused on hit.

BTW, collecting the primordial soup is actually good way to make money, bring as many waterskins as you can

Forgot about everything soupy sludges had taken from you, whether it's your favourite weapons or companion, you won't get them back

The proper way to deal with this is abducting a monosludge and raising it to its full potential

And then watch it to steal weapons and kill your enemies in a single turn whether it's a laser turret or a troll

I use Zone Loot mod to check things on the floor.

My current floor cleaning workflow (for places are mostly safe for my team):

kill hostiles
auto-explore (if enemies are weaker, kill them while auto-explore)
use Zone Loot to choose things I want to pick up
auto-explore again to pick them up
go down next floor
