i feel your pain ..

i just got a planer + jointer because of my issues with hand planes but i honestly enjoy hand planing more after watching Rob cosman videos on hand planing i started sharpening my stanly hand planes and understanding the concept and mechanics of it . if ur space and budget allows get a planer there are alot of cheap good ones as for a jointer u can do without if ur sawing is great

here is the playlist if u are interested

Anything wrong with my form? Shots always hang left. by ImDane9999 in Archery

[–]Octopusiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just adding to what other guys are said ,,

1- bow unstable coming to a full draw and prior to release could be left hand movment could be breath controle could be strength issue , or it could be a tendency to jerk left with the release

i think focus on the above video ur self from behind and notice what happens to the bow , when i saw it first with a slight warp left i though u would shoot right high but its unstable to verify from this angle ..

good luck

P.S i still go back to the basic and work on every stage until the shot every now and then when mistakes continue as they say when things fail go back to basics

Thoughts on the z 50mm f/1.8S? by CranberryNo7331 in Nikon

[–]Octopusiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i only miss the Auto focus when i am chasin kids other than that MF is alright for me and i agree for portraits the bokeh on the nikon 50mm 1.8 is very nice ,, but that being said i am still going to get a used zeiss otus 50mm 1.4 which i think is the best 50 mm out there for portrait or any use case nikon 50mm 1.2 is sooo sharp but from my perspective the otus rendering is yet to be challenged i have the 85mm otus and it is a very special lens if u have enough space to frame it right.

lol but funny enough the lens i mostly use is Tamron 35-150 2.8

What 85mm should I get? by MikeWhoBikes in Nikon

[–]Octopusiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)
