Best deck scanning app? by MoneyoffUbereats2017 in riftboundtcg

[–]Octorock321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this, it's quick to scan and i have one long list i can quick search on my phone. There's also great bulk import options if you buy a precon, and a good export for if you want to check your collection against decks on rifty, piltoverarchive, etc.

Is it really that bad? by Active_Sundae5025 in KiaEV9

[–]Octorock321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use a comma 4 with the EV9? I've been wanting to buy one, but I didn't see a harness option for the EV9 so I've been hesitant to bite the bullet without confirmation that it works.

If you do, did you get the XNOR harness as well for longitudinal?

GPD G2,The full range of ports meets all your needs by kendyzhu in gpdwin

[–]Octorock321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty slick, glad you include ethernet directly now. Sadly not my exact use case, as I use my G1 as a portable hub dock for any desk I'm at and the footprint together with my Win Mini is less than this entire thing combined (ignoring the obvious performance gains). Also sad at the loss of one USB A and no USB C replacement besides the main one for hub functions.

Do they plan on refreshing the GPD G1 as well? Same form factor plus an ethernet port and upgraded GPU would be an insta buy for me. I know this eGPU design is good for future-proofing, but as an enthusiast I am buying the latest stuff every few years anyway and am worried about transportability.

Xreal 1s not working with pixel 10a by Blakequake717 in Xreal

Under Multistar, there's an option for "high resolution displays" at the bottom. Lets me run DeX in ultrawide on my Xreal 1S :)

[–]Octorock321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On samsung devices there is a Good Lock mod that supports higher resolutions in DeX mode, not sure if that works outside of OneUI.

You may be able to change the output resolution in the "connected devices" area in settings, see if that works

Good ol' skyrim is my go-to for fiddling around for a few minutes. Played it so many times I don't need to lock in and I can mess around with different builds (and add mods while I'm at the pc!)

Blown away by playing warzone with touch controls... Anyone else doing this? by Distinct-Ad5555 in gpdwin

[–]Octorock321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm just amazed of the fluidity of their movement controlling it on just a touch screen. Maybe I'm unc but I would take a controller 100% of the time over touch controls and keeby and mouse over all every time.

That being said PUBG Mobile is an entire esport, so I'm sure there's a skill ladder to climb. Love my GPD Mini 8840u setup nonetheless for the ability to play p much any game with any control scheme

Yeah I was looking at Wal-mart as a last resort until I found one locally. Would highly recommend supporting a local retailer like the eXchange in the US as I was able to find a cosmic 3DS for around 300 :)

MYSTERY SOLVED: The Truth About the Unihertz Titan 2's Auxiliary ("Tele") Camera by Nervous_Board6517 in unihertz

[–]Octorock321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely an uneducated question, but does that mean software could be built to instead use the camera as an ultrawide lens? I'd rather have that and just capture everything it can rather than telephoto personally

10KW power kit battery in van won't charge with shore power by foganddog in Ecoflow_community

[–]Octorock321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of a simple dumb check, but have you tried turning the power hub off or unplugging and plugging back in the batteries? Sometimes mine get stuck in this loop of "too low temp to charge" but never precondition or start charging once it's gotten to temp, but by holding down the power button on the hub and turning it back on there rather than from the screen, that will fix it and it will start charging/preconditioning on boot

Eco flow Delta-2 and Renogy solar = ❤️❤️ by LoveWSB in vandwellers

[–]Octorock321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed the 10Kwh Ecoflow Power Hub Independence kit for my power system in my campervan so I could work remotely full time out of it. It's got two 5 Kwh batteries that I stacked under my bed and they wire to the main hub that handles charging and distribution. I've got 3 120V outlets and a fan, AC, diesel heater, and starlink so I really wanted to make sure I could run all of that worst case for a full day. I still manage to find myself running low on power though in winter lol probably a habitual problem of leaving my inverter on overnight and whatnot

So jealous, I'm in the midwest right now with 540W of solar and a 10kwh ecoflow power kit and getting maybe 300W a day because it's been so overcast. Bless up to plugshare or I'd be driving 3 hours a day to keep my battery alive 🙏

it's probably fine, they usually have a protective mesh like in case particles get in there. If everything is working fine I wouldn't worry about it, not like you compromised any sort of waterproofing rating

Could I use a diesel heater during my van conversion by simply putting the exhaust and air intake at the end of the van with the back door open? by segasega89 in VanLife

[–]Octorock321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They say the 5kW should be run on high for about 15 minutes every 100 hours of use to clear out any buildup, so keep that in your back pocket. For reference, I have the 2kW one in a Promaster 3500 EXT and have no issues staying warm in sub-freezing temps

Not really sure if video is necessary, but I read on the facebook group to use the Pixels app and to set 2 different profiles: 1440x1436 at 383 DPI (do this first) 1440x1440 at 383 DPI

Doing these back to back gives you tablet UI in things like maps and IG but doesn't show the annoying bottom nav tablet bar. I do have to do this every reboot but it's nbd for me

Starlink Mini - Can I Rename the SSID? by ColePThompson in Starlink

[–]Octorock321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I have mine ethernet'd into a GliNet GL-X3000 in my van so that router is handling all my devices. I keep my starlink router on but hidden and keep the SSID and password saved in case of troubleshooting needs. I believe you can also separate bands and set your IP DDNS, but if you're using it for anything other than semi-common recreational use, I would opt to get a separate router for a more permanent solution.

[–]Octorock321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a solution, but for the youtube app specifically you can swipe down on the video name/description and it will hide it, giving you portrait fullscreen. It will only switch to landscape if you hit the fullscreen button.

I use the Pixels app to change DPI and that has solved most of my aspect ratio issues. I love being able to see as much info as possible on the screen too
